Favorite Christian Movies?

I watched FireProof last night because I found out it's on Netflix. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to just be about firefighting and more of a "guy" movie, but I had no idea what the story was about. Wow, it was pretty good. Suspenseful too! :)
Try Courageous ....it's right up there too

If you guys have the Bible (youversion) app, go to videos and watch the movie called simply "JESUS" by Jesus film media. Or you can look it up online, it's a free movie that goes off of Luke's gospel.
Indeed...it can be viewed on YouTube.

Some that havent been mentioned..

The nativity
The hiding place
Joni
The Bucket List (both secular and christian perspective on dying)

Favourite - fireproof was pretty good, i also enjoyed flywheel and courageous.
Jesus is also good.

The dvds are not sold here...
I see.. There are many ways to get it online as well.. Please please don't take me wrong.. This is something that Lord convicted me a few years back.. I used to download lot of movies through Torrents or just from some websites.. Both Christian and non-Christian movies.. I also used pirate software. I tried to defend myself saying it is available in internet for everyone.. The one who uploaded to internet did wrong.. I am not doing anything by downloading it, which is already available for anyone..

Lord's command is very simple.. Do not steal! Quite simple right.. We try to make it complicated by adding conditions and exceptions. Took a while for the thought to sink into my heart and mind that I am stealing by watching movies from a source outside of the copyrighted manners of DVD's or legit online sources like Netflix.

I still make the mistake. But consciously try to avoid it as much as possible. Thinking conversely, by paying for the movie, we are actually helping the ministry which produced the movie..

I never got you wrong and totally understood your view angle... i didnt know how to start explaining thats why i kept my reply ssimpe not that i was offended or anything... you should understand that buying things online isn't as easy in some regions as other regions... I have gotten an offer to own a copy and i anticipate the procedure...

Nefarious is also a good movie. Well, documentary. Does that count as movie? Film.

Its hardhitting, eye opener.

A few of these are a bit of a stretch, but they all include intentional Christian themes -- not merely symbolism.

We have actually watched a few this past weekend - it was raining virtually constantly this whole weekend at the coast.
Flywheel
Face the giants - best of the three for me.
Fireproof
Enjoyed those very much.
We also watched the trilogy of Left behind where Kirk Cameron acted in, from the 2000's.
Although much can be questioned, enjoyable nonetheless.

I actually had a conversation yesterday with a colleague about Christian movies. While I can think of some pretty good ones, generally, there is a consensus of negativity surrounding them -- usually by other Christians. Not so much on what message is intended to be expressed, but by the way the story is being presented.

He sent me this article.

I'd love to hear your honest thoughts. Remember, this isn't an attack on Christianity (otherwise I wouldn't even begin to bring this up) -- it's a critique of movies. It's not blasphemous to critique movies.

That was my first impression about movies like Flywheel and Fireproof also. Those movies seem low budget and directing not that polished. But then, the message is so magnificent that I cannot but hold that those are great movies.
It's quite strange indeed.

I like independent movies.
They are more real than the big budget ones.

Although..I really liked the last one I saw, just today.

Its called Shaun the Sheep.
