I Need Help....

Can someone please explain to me why the Church today does not believe this?

Does Jesus who now lives inside us, as he is our new life. Is Jesus fully aware of his surroundings while living inside us? If Jesus is fully aware of his surroundings on this earth by living in us, why are we not also fully aware of our surroundings in Heaven where we are dwelling in him? After all, Christ lives in us, and we live in Him!!! "For as he is, so are we in this world"..
Is not the"Glory"which Jesus gave us make us"one"in God, and not only one with God but also with one another? Is not this Glory that which connects us to both worlds, the earthy, and Heavenly? How else can Jesus be sitting on his throne in Heaven and also living in us all at the same time? The Kingdom of God has been given to us, and we have already been translated there when we became a new creature in Christ.

"Seeing is believing" goes the saying... many who really are christians don't believe the word of God so they can't show God's awesomeness. I have many stories, but I believe there are so much MUCH more than what I've experienced. Even when one shares the wonders of God they don't believe because it hasn't happened to them. While praying for healing in one area, I ended up being cured of a genetic issue! Glory to God! He made the universe, which sits in the palm of His hand, if we'd just believe the word of God and have faith bring forth the unseen, the world would be turned upside down.

To add to what Abdicate said, the devil has sown so many lies about the Word, and God....that the Church just believes it. So when someone comes with the truth of the Word, they think it's just a bunch of heresy. People would rather hang on to what has been passed down from their families, or whatever is comfortable...because for a lack of a better word it is comfortable, and they don't have to endure the temptation to doubt. It's just laziness in some ways. The worries of life, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desire for other things (mark 4:18-19) have come it taken place of getting in the Word of God and making it first place in life. The successful walk with Christ in my mind is a lot like marriage, it takes renewing one's mind to the Word, and training our flesh to walk in God's ways...and that takes work. It's the microwave or instant age....sad to say.
Blessings my friend!

I'm not sure I'm seeing what you are driving at but for what it is worth, this came to mind: 1Cor 13:12. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

But Jesus is not looking in a dimmed mirror, He has 20/20 vision.
Hope this addresses your post?

While a new born child can not see clearly because it has not been able to control its senses, but later as that child grows and become more mature its "vision" sees much more clearly. The "perfect" this scripture is talking is about is found in verse 11. It's talking about being a child in our beliefs, and when we are children in our faith we speak and think just like a child. Always asking questions, and trying to figure things out, but when that same child grows up into a mature man then that which was in "part" is done away. That child is no longer looking through a glass "darkly", but is now seeing face to face.

1Co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

OK that is quite true, however the only time we will fully know is when we are resurrected.
Curtis, why have you removed the word "fully" when you posted the above verses? can you not see that changes the meaning intended? Or the interpretation people will have?
"Fully" can, in the context only apply to post resurrection experience.
Now if (as I more than half suspected) I have not understood your OP, why not just say so?

Curtis, perhaps what you've put your finger on is the fact that many bible-believing Christians have yet to experience true hope, that sure thing that we have in Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 6:19-20

Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. 19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. 20 Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek.

That is because the word "fully" is not in the KJV version that I used.

1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1Co 13:12 ForG1063 nowG737 we seeG991 throughG1223 a glass,G2072 darkly;G1722 G135 butG1161 thenG5119 faceG4383 toG4314 face:G4383 nowG737 I knowG1097 inG1537 part;G3313 butG1161 thenG5119 shall I knowG1921 even asG2531 alsoG2532 I am known.G1921

The first "know" is:
G1097
γινώσκω
ginōskō
ghin-oce'-ko
A prolonged form of a primary verb; to “know” (absolutely), in a great variety of applications and with many implications (as shown at left, with others not thus clearly expressed): - allow, be aware (of), feel, (have) known (-ledge), perceive, be resolved, can speak, be sure, understand.

The last two, "know" and "known" is:
G1921
ἐπιγινώσκω
epiginōskō
ep-ig-in-oce'-ko
From G1909 and G1097; to know upon some mark, that is, recognise; by implication to become fully acquainted with, to acknowledge: - (ac-, have, take) know (-ledge, well), perceive.

How wonderful that by virtue of being face to face with Jesus the Lord that our knowing and being known is so rich and full and perfect, nothing hidden or missing!

I hope this helps!

OK, I see where you are coming from..but.....when you link to the passage, the forum opens up a version that has 'fully' in it. 1 Cor 13:12. moused over will lead the reader to:................

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Notice:
I will "know" as I am "known"! My knowing is based on God knowing me. This can only be done by having fellowship with the Lord. Fellowship is a "two way street". How can there be fellowship if there is only a one way conversation? Fellow shipping it not only talking to the Lord, but is the Lord talking back. The lord talks back when we are "keeping" his Word in us, which means to guard, and to protect.

I did not know that. Thanks.

The lord talks back when we are "keeping" his Word in us, which means to guard, and to protect it from being stolen. Keeping the Word always in our hearts, and thinking about them As Jesus said....

Joh 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

The way Jesus loves us is by "manifesting" himself to us. The word "manifest" means "to make appear, to become visible"
Maybe if we are not seeing "clearly", it could be we are not loving him!

The Lord knows our intentions behind our stated intentions...He knows our heart. If a worker for the Kingdom comes up and says "I've done as you've said, now give me my pay" then I think the Lord knows the knowledge sought is self serving. If a worker comes up and says "Lord I don't know what else I can do for my brothers/sisters in need please help me Master. I am weak and helpless before their burden."
Which worker will be given gifts, prophecies, words of knowledge, gift of healing...etc? If the worker displays selfishness and pride, then I don't expect the Lord will entrust him with much. If the worker remains humble and selfless and only seeks that which furthers the cause of Christ showing no desire for self gain, then I would expect he will receive much to aid him.

Haha. I wanted to say something related.
We are still dressed in the corruptible (sorry, do not recall from where), so do not yet experience a part of what is in the incorruptible.

Okay, now I understand where we are coming from, thanks for the comments.

Hello CCW95A.
Here is another point of view.
Language plays a big part in our belief system, and how we perceive reality/truth. (refer to James 3:3-6)
Many Christians say "I have God in my life." On a subtle level, it can imply an image (belief) that I am still superior for God is in (smaller) me (larger). We may think, 'having God in my life,' as being different to having food, of air, in me. But the mind also has a long association with 'in me' meaning something smaller than me.
Referencing our life from a truer perspective, like our spirit-self, can be tricky. I get caught out too.

Instead of just thinking where we are going, we ought to know where are are coming from too.

You are so right in the fact we are living in a earthen vessels on this earth, yet at the same time we are sitting in Heavenly places in Christ. We have no problems in believing the former, but the latter we simply have never tried to actually extract faith from the Word of God that allows us to experience it our lives here. James tells us that the tongue sets the course of nature by what we speak out of our mouths. As God "framed the world with his words we to are suppose to be framing our world with words also, except they are not our words, but God's Word. I believe only then will the Church experience both the Kingdom in which we have been translated into and the Kingdom we bring with us from there.

I like how the KJ in the reference puts it......it difileth the whole body and setteth on fire the "WHEEL" of nature and it is set on fire of hell

Yes, and the tongue no man can tame, unless the Holy Spirit is in control.
The sad truth my friend is that too many people "THINK" the Holy Spirit is in control for they got born again and feel they do not have to do anything more as if every promise just magically does everything for them..
