Is the age of the Earth connected to Jesus' second coming?

Come on Brother,
You are speaking from a natural man's point of view.

God is an Intelligent Being......He Created Man in His Image.....He talked with them and placed Adam in charge of naming animals.
Yep that sounds like uneducated cave men.

Did you come from the womb speaking and talking? or was it two years on and older? Did your parents not teach you to speak? And when you did, did you instantly understand Einstein's theory of relativity?
Possessing the skills of language does not by any means indicate anyone has the capacity to understand Creation as it most likely really was.
Speaking or possessing language would not mean advanced intelligence. Its a fact that even cave men communicated in various ways. None understood algebra and advanced economic theories. This is why God commanded so much of the economics in those days to be done. And it certainly does not indicate wisdom or the lack of wisdom.

The Op was about the age of the earth being connected to Jesus 2nd Coming. Personally I do not understand that at all.

However, back to the op and the age of the earth, do you accept the idea of a "Gap" between Genesis 1:1 and verse 2 of millions of years?

Or, do you accept the idea that the dinosaurs were 6000 years old and lived with men and were on the Ark?

If so, why have there never been any human remains found with the remains of those dinosaurs?

What is your position and then why do you believe that?

I posted some articles in the OP to help explain the position some Christians and Jews have reagrding thier belief that Jesus will return on the 6000th year if that helps?

I don't accept the gap theory, the Bible never once even alludes to millions of years. Thousands yes but not millions.

Yes Dinosaurs lived with us and some were on the Ark although I believe most of the animals on the Ark, especially the larger ones were either juvenile or very young and thus smaller.

I disagree with your position on human and dinosaur remains not being found together but that could be for another thread, if you like?

Adam Was not born a baby.

21The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
Maybe they did not have the skills? The knowledge?
If my reference to cavemen offended you brother it was not intended to be literal. And again for the life of me, I do not understand what the issue it caused for you is.
But enough. I am leaving the forum. A moderator behaving in such a manner is unseemly and disrespectful in my opinion. I was searching out an exchange of observations and a discussion. This is not what I was looking for, but unfortunately I did find this whatever it is.

Yes this is what I'm talking about, others are doing what you have done and are coming to the same basic conclusion, okay so the dates may differ a little but the concept is the same and is being believed by more and more Christians. So can you tell me what kind of experience you have had when sharing your information and how long have you been sharing your conclusions?

BTW you may be interested in this clip as it does relate to this subject (but I won't discuss here the name of Jesus that you've posted below, may be you could do a thread about that topic?):
I started my study when I read from Grant Jeffery that Israel was born exactly X number of days from the commandment to build the city. I didn't think it possible, so I started my own study on the matter in 2000. I finished in 2010. Well, I have to update the Sabbath resurrection, but the rest is still accurate. Great video and yes, I know about 23 Sep 2017/Rev 12:1-2 connection. Yesterday there was a ring eclipse in South America and another one going right through Kentucky this summer. I'm not certain I've ever heard of two ring eclipses in a single year, but I could be wrong.

Thanks, do you tell many people about your calculation? And what kinds of reactions have you have? BTW just to be clear the video was about Jesus' birth on 11th Sept 3 BC which was the day of Trumpets but yes a similar sign will happen this year but I personally do not think it means much.

I did a study from 1990 to 2010 to write on the chronology of man according to the word of God. According to my findings, Jesus started His ministry 4000 years from creation, which is what the Jews said Elijah taugh his students. Jesus died in 27 AD and started His ministry in 25 AD. When the 6000th year is complete, from creation that'll be 120 Jubilees, just as God said in Gen 6:3. So today isn't 5777 but 5992. Time will tell what that means.

Hi. I am aware that Jews were not able to start public ministry until the age of 30. I just looked it up to confirm. Cannot post a link on my outdated tablet.

Hi Major,
Truthfully I don't give much thought on any of it.
None of it will aid me in following the plan the Father has set before me.
Thanks for asking
Blessings

For as long as I can remember I have been a history buff. I could not pass Algebra and Chemistry is school but always had A +'s in history classes....go figure.

For me, the more I find in the past, the more I see God's handiwork in the lives of humanity.

That's right in Numbers chapter 4 it says they had to be 30 to 50 but in chapter 8 it says they could begin to take part from 25 years: http://biblehub.com/niv/numbers/4.htm Jesus was at least 30 years old when he started and more than likely exactly 30 as God is not slow when it is His time to act (imo).

Most people do not accept my findings, which is fine. I chose not to use history books which is why my dates are different. I also believe Jesus' birthday is 15 Tishri 3755 (8 October 7 BC), and I have His death on 14 Nisan 3787 (9 April 27 AD - Julian), at the age of 32 and 5 month 28 days. Each of the feasts and fasts are linked to Jesus.

25 Kislev - 2 Tevet - Hanukkah - Conception - Called the Dedication (...of the Word)

15-22 Tishri - Feast of Tabernacles - Birth
14-15 Nisan - Passover - Death
14-21 Nisan - Feast of Unleavened Bread (dead bread - Bread of Life died)
14 Nisan + morning after Sabbath - Resurrection & Feast of First Fruits
6 Sivan - Pentecost - The Law and the Spirit given (birth of the Church/Bride)
1 Tishri - Feast of Trumpets - (r-word possibly) & Second Coming - Arrival of the King
10 Tishri - Day of Atonement - 1000 year Kingdom set up - King of Kings

Everything in the word of God is about Jesus in one way or another.

Yep! Number 4 and Luke 3:23, the age when Jesus started His ministry, in the 4000th year from Creation or the 80th Jubilee.

Yes He can be found on just about every page in one way or another. Thanks for your reply.

No one has ever explained to me the practical need to know the date and time of His return. If you are His, if He knows you, and if you are living for Him...the actual date doesn't matter. Declaring a date and time will not accelerate more true faith nor conversions. Revelation suggests there is coming a time when His wrath will be falling on the earth, and people, knowing what it is, will still deny Him. Worrying about finding a special date and time distracts from being who He has called us to be. Jesus said that all who the Father have given to Him WILL come to Him...yes, we are somehow part of that...but it will happen when it is time...no sooner, no later.

Well, I'm just waitin' round, but I got leavin' on my mind
Yes, I'm just waitin' round, but I got leavin' on my mind
Well the Lord's comin' back and he'll be here
right on time!

Excellent observation.

This will probably cause some arguments, but it has been my experience on Christian forums in general that the underlying motivation is for posters to try and show everyone how intelligent they are in spiritual matters.

One of those ways is to "Think they know the time of Christ's 2nd Coming". In their mind, if they can give the impression of knowing then it will show how blessed they are and close to God they are compared to everyone else.

That "Need" is rooted in pride and of all the sins that God hates, Pride is #1.

The fact is that NO ONE knows and no one will ever know until the time is right. God is soverign, and He has a plan that has been in operation since the very beginning and He is not going to tell anyone.
