Anyone who watched TV in the 80s might remember all those family sit coms, including GRowing Pains.
Well I found this autobiography/memoir about one of thr stars Kirk Cameron, who played Mike Seaver, one of the teens on the show. He became was a huge star, literally a teen idol at the time when he was only 16.
In the book he writes about that time and also how he became a born again christian. Interesting book.
It may go to show that one shouldnt be afraid of inviting someone to church, you plant a seed. But I think it was more his mum praying for him.
He later went on to star in some christian movies, as well as presenting some christian evangelism on tv. Hes got six children, four of whom are adopted.
The interesting thing is, one of his moveis Left Behind (i have not ever seen) he said nobody in the cast was a christian except for him and his wife. Well, I suppose it was trying to copy what was in the books.
His sister Candace was also a teen star in the sitcom Full House, and a christian. There arent that many TV or movie stars that are open about their faith. I guess because it limits the roles they can play on screen?
