Something is filling in me...it’s seems like when im full something will be revealed.. I think I’m going out of my mind.

Could be the spirit, but the only time I’ve recognised Him without doubt was when I got saved... but it was not the same slow filling.. dunno it seemed like a rush and it wasn’t me doing it. It had me wake up one morning after giving up on Christianity for months and start reading scripture for hours. That ain’t me folks, I’m telling ya.

It is wonderful
God bless you
The scripture say that it is sweet in the mouth but bitter in the stomach so don't be surprised by the battle with principalities and powers.
But it also says that He is more than able to complete that which He started.

May the Lord continue to bless you!!!

It sounds to me like you are experiencing the doctrine of "Sanctification".

1 Peter 1:15...……...
"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do".

Many, many born again believers are saved at an early age and then are taken to Church where they are exposed to the Bible and its teachings.
In that way they/we do not even realize that we are in the middle of being "Santified". However, when we are saved at an older time of our lives, what we experience is what you have described. We notice it more because we are more aware as adults than we were as children.

Sanctification is the call to put off the old self, one wrought with sin, and put on the new self, one filled by the Spirit. It is the process of our hearts, minds, and desires being brought into greater conformity with God's written WORD and desiring to be more Christlike. Sanctification is the Christian's growth in grace and knowledge. Sanctification means to become more Christlike, an aspiration that seems all but impossible to reach - but the Lord calls all Christians to holiness and Christlike. We can only do that by submitting our selve to the Holy Spirit and studying His written Word.

The proof of this is found in 2 Corinthians 3:18...…...….
"And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.[ For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."

In the Christians life, there are 3 steps...…….
1. Justification.
When we accept Christ as our Saviour, we are at the very moment of accepting Christ, born again and are legally declared NOT GUILITY. That is called justification, we are united to Christ by faith in the gospel and person of Jesus Christ.

2. Santification.
Those who have been united to Christ have been justified, but there is still the reality that we will not be fully sanctified or as some say, "set apart",
while we live in a world dominated by sin.

3. Glorification.
There are TWO ways to be glorified. "Glorified" means that we will have the same kind of body Jesus had after He rose from the dead and then assended to heaven.
A. DEATH in the Lord Jesus Christ.
B. RAPTURE of all believers.

Amen Major
But whether we realize our salvation early or later in life, I expect you will agree that God has no grandchildren, only sons and daughters.

Yes I would. Excellent comment.

We are saved "Individually" --one person at a time.

Matthew 5:9 says that Jesus confirms the relationship between God and being sons and daughters of God when He says...….
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God."

Well it’s been revealed!
I was kinda expecting Him to give me some kind of awesome exciting magic powers or news of how to be a millionaire or something.

instead He showed me all my limiting beliefs and what I’m holding onto
haha

Praise the Lord!
Amen

Hi Via;

I'm enjoying your thread and the other's posts. What you described is an awesome feeling in Christ, and thank you for sharing with your brothers and sisters.

In a nut shell;-)
Your initial expectations are good but were focused on base perspectives.
If earthly wealth and prosperity were so important then all of God's children would be millionaires.
I also appreciate your comments on limitations, for we know that God can't help us if we can help ourselves... God has to get us to a place where we have to look up.
God is the source of all things, wisdom, ability etc. and when we look at the Source and not focus on the gifts we avail ourselves to things that have eternal value, things that can also be realized 'in part' on this temporal journey like peace, contentment, happiness, even to the revelation where death has lost it's sting - then we are ready to soar...
God bless

He DID just that!!!

God made it possible for you to live eternally in a "Mansion" in heaven with no pain and no sorrow and it did not cost one single penny.

Thanks guys,
Your all very inspiring.😇
Initially I was happy with what He revealed, but then for Hours after, I felt real sickly, like I was in this dark place never to see the light of day again. because He showed me how angry I was with Him.
Now I sense a stronger Faith has been released, and It’s relaxing.

I know this might sound odd. But it doesn’t seem like I have put on any armour at all..( the bible tells you to put on the armour)
It seems like what was stripped away revealed the armour already there.

I’m confused.🤔

Hi Via;

Good question that we all ask from time to time.

In Ephesians 6:10-18,
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Because we as Christians are always in the spiritual battle, for example, feeling sickly or in a dark place, and when we fall short (sin) we let go of the armor. So we pray for God to clothe us again, and again and again.

God is not limited, therefore, fills us with His forgiveness and renewed chances. Praise Him!

What may have been stripped away was the "old self" our past sins and replaced with the full armor of God. Then the next time we ask God for forgiveness, He redeems and restores us and our sins become past and once again we become filled with the armor of God.

Is it possible that the Spirit will lead us to another teaching from a different faith?

I was suddenly overcome with a need to search for something outside the faith and I came across a Buddhist meditation practice by a lama yoda which seemed to do some good...it was like a narrow path and I’ve never been the same.
Since then it’s like the hatred has been lifted.
I’ve even started enjoying the company of some of the residents at work that do my head in.

I most certainly haven’t abandoned the Christian Faith, if anything it’s enhanced it. Wierd but cool stuff is happening😊

There is good in most things - 'tree of the knowledge of good and evil.'
Hospitals are good but they are not the Christian's major.
Relaxation and meditation has some value - but it is not the GIVER.
Paul says all things are yours - but you be Christ's.
Even our church can become our focal point.
When Peter asked Jesus for directions as to how he should go - Jesus said 'I am the Way'.
Therein lies the mystery

Keep you eyes on the Word in all things...
You may want to talk to your pastor.
God bless.

I feel the need to tell you the Bible Scripture repeatedly tells us to watch out for people who may try to deceive us, but sadly many people overlook the warning. If there has ever been a time to be on guard it would be now. More and more wolves are popping up and deceiving many. Shield yourself with the Word of God so you don’t become a victim.

1 John 4:1 .........
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world."

Any faith, any religion that does not have the Lord Jesus Christ as the only way to be saved from your sin is a false religion and is dangerous.

?? what hatred..? Is it kind of like still hating the sin but love the sinner?

hmm. I haven't encountered that as I came out of new age beliefs and buddhist/folk religion. I think it depends what it is.
Maybe it just helping you understand where other people are coming from. When people sin, often they just don't realise it. If you work with a lot of sinners some of their actions will impact on you, but you need to have mercy on those who know no other way.

Another thing is I have find in many churches they don't really teach how to be peacemakers effectively. That's why many people just put up with fighting and injustice, instead of letting God have mercy and being the mediator in conflicts. We can ask Him for wisdom and He will give it to us.

Thank you Major I needed this right now!
I kinda like Buddhist philosophy a bit because it resonates with me, especially the 1st and 2nd noble truth. ( in life there is suffering and desire causes it)
It’s similar to Christian views that’s why we have to believe we have received what we pray for.( which stops desire and suffering in its tracks and keeps the devil at bay)
But yes your right, it’s not at all possible for me to know if another teacher is deceiving me as yet as I’m not very grounded in scripture!
As wonderful as mindfulness feels, I’ve noticed I’m not keeping my eye on Christ!

Allow me to give you the fool proof key to NOT being deceived.

Any person who devalues Jesus Christ is a false teacher and a deceiver. Jesus is the Christ of God and the Saviour of men and anything less than that is unacceptable.

Some religions say that Jesus is a good prophet. .....................….........….NO He is not. He is God almighty in the flesh!
Some religions say that Jesus is good man who did great things...…NO He is not. He is God almighty in the flesh!

As for Mr. Budda. Most Buddhists are unfamiliar with him. His name was actually Siddhārtha Gautama. Historical facts are that his wife was named Yasodhara, and his son, Rahula, both of whom he left behind to fend for them selves as he pursued enlightenment.

Is that the kind of philosophy that you would advise???

I believe that the 2nd Nobel truth is "Desire leads to attachment, attachment is almost inevitably followed by loss, which causes suffering".

Now .......Do you really believe that cancer stems from desire? That is NOT...NOT at all a Christian view my dear friend.

Buddhism and Christianity are not compatable. Just to give you some Examples---------
"Buddhism teaches that there is no moral right and wrong."

Christianity teaches that there is such a God and that there is indeed objective right and wrong. Evil, or sin, is breaking the commands of God.

Buddhism teaches that personal self is an illusion. There is no "I" or "you" even now, and certainly no soul or spirit of man that transcends this physical life.

Christianity teaches that men and women are created in the image of God and are distinct from and have dominion over other living things on the earth,

In Buddhism suffering comes from our illusion of being a personal self and our actions in accordance with that illusion.

In Christianity, it is human evil and disobedience to God that first brought suffering and death into the world, (Romans 5:12). What man needs most is to be washed of his guilt and to turn from his sin.

Excellent teaching, Major;

I feel what Via dolarossa is sharing applies to all of us in our walk with Christ. There will be spiritual warfare. 1 Timothy 6:12, 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Through our daily devotional reading of the Bible and constant prayer, the Lord will empower us with the Holy Spirit to fight against the false deceivers.

Your post ministered to many of us, Major. God bless you and your ministry, brother.
