With almost every school in the affected countries being closed for at least a few more weeks, it might be interesting to post details of how your children and grand children are learning while at home. Home schooling, on-line classrooms and other in-home education is taking place all over the world to keep our youngsters up to date on lessons and learning.

Please feel free to add to this thread and mention how your family is handling this. I'm sure that others would be interested in everyone's creative ideas.

Thank you...

Blessings.

Well, my kids are all grown up. My wife is a teacher, so she is still teaching on-line. Well, maybe "on-line" is the wrong word. She issues assignments, which her students have to work on their own (probably with parental assistance) and then turn in. She has "office hours" from 10am to 2pm, so her kids/parents can call her and ask for assistance.

All five of my grandkids live in other states (MO and TX), but I hear it is the same for them.

Today is officially the start of spring break, so no school until March 31, 2020. We have already been told; however, that we will continue this process, when we return on March 31st and at least until April 19th.

I learned to crochet, about 3 weeks ago. I now have RSI (repetitive strain injury) in both hands. However, I have pretty much crochet'd a blanket the size of Wembley Arena.

It occurs to me that as we are staying home we have the opportunity to emerge renewed rather than stressed.

For many of us, some of our most cherished experiences happened while at a spiritual retreat. What makes a retreat special is getting away from the day to day cares and spending quality time in Christian fellowship and learning about God and how our lives can glorify Him.

We have the Bible, and we have the ability to fellowship through the internet, and phone. Many of us have DVDs and other materials that teach how to live and rejoice in the spiritual life.

We can prayerfully find a mountaintop experience from within our valley of challenges.

You might just inspire me yet to finish three paintings I keep looking at Peter Luke. Im known for leaving an incomplete variety in my work space for weeks on end. I did complete a necklace with tiny sapphire beads I had a tough time seeing. My brother found them on a scuba trip someplace. They are of a surprising quality with quite a sparkle.

I hardly ever paint. Done less than ten paintings in over 50 years, and have several unfinished artworks too. Two days ago I pulled two out off their hiding place and gave them a wash. They are now in view for me to contemplate on while finishing the Scooter painting.

At the time of hiding these paintings I lost the inspiration. I listened to critics accusations of idolatry, but now I know better to not listen to other peoples fears. But now I find myself filled with inspiration (in-spirit) to complete them.

It is nice to know that others are inspired to explore the gifts bestowed onto us by God. Hope to see what you are creating during this lock-down period.

It is insightful that it had to take forced isolation (from this world) to be inspired again.

Im really shy about posting my work. Im better about writing what I feel in words that paint a picture.
I will try to work on my shyness. :)
I understand. It's the main reason why I hide my stuff from critical reviews.
At my current age, and the threat of a shorter life from this pandemic, has encouraged me to once again face my fears and do it anyway.
So please excuse any display of my boldness. It's not pride, as some may think. I am just being honest.

Ive been on many forums, and have had things copied. I shy away from posting pics. I remember critical reviews from college. However no one could ever be as harsh, judgmental, or rude as my own family. My skin is thick because of it, but when it comes to my work I am very private these days.

No one likes an image intended for them to get changed enough to be legal.
