Journal The Cabin

Good morning my beautiful forum family.
I cannot believe how fast the week has passed. Today is grocery shopping day with Margaret.. .and tomorrow is ADVENTURE/ROAD TRIP DAY!!!!

Since the US/July 4th holiday seems to be a much BIGGER SHINDIG than CANADA DAY... and the fact that their holiday is falling on a FRIDAY rather than a TUESDAY.... I sense some AMAZING picnic food HAPPENING.

Give me your BEST picnic or pot-luck recipes.... YES PLEASE!!!!

I am contributing a recipe from the old forum COOK-BOOK that was published a long time ago.

My "blind" grand-fur-son.... GOTS a GUMBY..... HE gots a GUMBY.....
He is going to SLEW a GUMBY.

and the same rules apply to the destruction of stuffy's with SQUEAKIES as does puzzling.

For a refresher... of my semi- made-up word.

*slew (to slew) - present tense of verb also inclusive of "I am slewing... he is slewing... we are slewing".

*slewed- the completed task of slewing. The CONQUER there of. It's done... THE END.

*slewage- when involving a jigsaw puzzle... it is simply a name given to the state of a completed puzzle that is soon to head to the BOX it came in. When involving a stuffy that has been desecrated by a dog... it includes
all the innards. ( the pierced plastic squeaker.... the stuffying... and all the original body). :D

Consider this your pre-AUTUMN puzzle vocab update. HAHA.

It's going on 8 am.... I am about to leave for a long walk to Margaret's house.... that will be my exercise for the day... It's about 3 miles.... WE will leave from her house to the grocery store..... and... AND... I have already been in the lake this morning.

Happy 4th of July. Guard your fingers and count them at the end of the day. :)
What on earth does that mean??? I am going on a road trip this morning... DO I need to be counting my toes too??

Cranberry was referring to be careful if you're going to handle fireworks.

We used to enjoy "professional" fireworks displays after a baseball game or at the San Diego Bay.
Happy 4th of July, America!
