Is the God Allah of Islam same as our Yahweh?

Allah is just the word god (lowercase intended as it is a false god). Yahweh is the name of the one true GOD, they are NOT the same. Islam teaches that Jesus is Muhammad's helper, yet the Bible tells us that Jesus is the king of kings and has a name above all names, in other words He is second to no one. The gospel of John tells us that Jesus is God, the Quran says that Muhammad was a man.

As many want to see them as being the same God?
The god of Islam is not the God of the Bible. Islam's god is impersonal, unloving, and capricious; Muslims cannot even conceive of having a personal relationship with their god. I would encourage every Christian to read the Quran and the Hadiths of Islam. It's a tedious exercise reading the Quran, but it's worthwhile.

And yet when speaking to muslims themselves, they speak about Muhammad in a way that seems like almost worshipping him and elevating him to be like the Jesus of that religion

There are two responses to this. The first says all gods point to the same, underlying truth. If a person takes that position -- which is not a Christian position -- then the answer is yes. The second (Christian) says absolutely not. The two are quite different
I say Allah is really satan using another name. yet it seems that even some Christians equate them as being the same God, just different title

Very hard to read and follow their Koran, as it seems to be mainly stories and fables that start and stop with little historical background to reference

As I said, it's a tedious read, but in today's world with all exposure we westerners now have to Muslims and Muslim ideas, knowing what the Quran and the Hadiths say can help us to witness to Muslims and to help dispel misinformation and deliberate distortions of Islamic theology by self-serving Muslims trying to convert westerners.

True, as western muslims seem to many times be cuturally muslims, as those in Middle east practice and obderve a much stricter and legalistic Islam

So true, as think that many western converts to Islam soon find out that they were sold a bill of goods, as Muhamemd was not greatest example of mankind, nor is Islam a religion of peace not can offer any salvation

Agree with you that Allah is Not Yahweh, but there seems to be many Christians who want to push that viewpoint, as they in zeal to witness to muslims even want their Isa of their Koran be the Jesus of our bible
are they truly Christians paul warned of another spirit and another gospel ; For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!
