WHAT'S FOR BREAKFAST?

How about if we consider early morning meal favorites as well... We've got some great dinner suggestions, so how about adding breakfast favorites to the thread?

My classic southern breakfast consists of -

2 scrambled eggs: with chopped onions, garlic, onion greens, a touch of celery salt, pepper, 4 tablespoons of 1 percent milk for consistency and some cheddar cheese crumbles mixed in.

Southern style creamy grits: with cheese sauce

Whole strawberries

A slab of chicken fried steak with brown gravy.

Hash brown potatos

Beef sausage: thin cut and pan fried in olive oil

Wheat toast: with butter and strawberry jelly

12 ounce glass of orange juice.

Breakfast? You have time for breakfast? You ARE blessed! Make mine toast and butter, cup of coffee and an extra hour of sleep, thank you!

Whoa..... Pastor Gary...... You had all that ? You are one hungrey man..... But momma always said ... Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Actually my very favourite is blueberry pancakes with good maple syrup ( dark kind) with ( sorry guys) Canadian bacon.
And you just got to have a good cup of Columbian coffee.

Go Ahead make my day...... He He :D:D:D

Dusty - I'm up at 3:55 AM each morning, 7 days per week, working in the Rectory office. My breakfast has to get me by until noontime, so it is my main meal of the day. :)

Years ago ... when I lived in Scotland and was working as a nanny, I had to cook breakfast for the mr and mrs. He always wanted deer liver and I had to gag every time I cooked it as it was so strong smelling.

Oh dear not deer liver- LOL. I like fried chicken liver and calves liver in onions and brown gravy but I do not generally eat wild game. It is almost allways strong and "gamey: tasting.

This morning we had eggs over easy, hash brown potatoes cooked with shallots, red onions, leeks, garlic and a little cheese at the end, crispy bacon and home made turkey sausage which I made by mixing 1 lb lean ground turkey breast meat with cooked red onions, shallots and garlic, fresh chopped parsley, 1 egg and a little bit of olive oil for juiciness, salt and pepper, then made it into round patties and cooked them in very little olive oil. They were very good! Oh, I also added some dried dill and basil to the mix! There you have it! I love break fast! It really is my favorite meal of the day!

Laura:)

I had half of a whole wheat bagel as I dropped the other half on the floor!

No my cats do not eat bagels. I miss y German Shepard , he wouldn't have even tasted it as we would have inhaled it.:D

My cats would like the cream cheese, then the 2 pit bulls come along.....
You should see my cats! It's hysterical!
They all try to run and their little feet don't take them anywhere on my shiny floor....
It's like something from a cartoon~
I have to laugh!!!

Yogurt, an english muffin with marmalade and a cup of coffee.

I can eat while running out the door, and even while sitting at a traffic light!

What's for breakfast?

Pizza or nachos usually~~~
:D

You are bad, Violet. I usually have something healthy, like coffee with an altoid for desert (get rid of the coffee smell).
On the weekends, I do like to make breakfast burritos out of whatever leftovers are handy. Usually something like this...
Chicken
Potatoes
Onions
Garlic
Eggs
Cheese
The first four ingredients sauteed in olive oil than I add the eggs and finally the cheese after the eggs are done. Then I put it all in a tortilla and add a little salsa to taste...yumm...
