Alphabet Soup Garden Varieties

This is the 1,001th post in my wee little thread :) Truly blessed by the best...

The smaller circle is my still quite luckily large (but reducing rapidly), group of friends and family.
People keep passing on, it is the circle of life, and I dont have to like that.
I cant wait till we meet in heaven, cause we will all have a new forever body.
It will be like we get to meet and become friends/family all over again.

I just miss a lot of those who have died. Sorrow can be a wicked reminder of how frail human life really is.
Hope my explaining my feelings helps you better understand them bobinfaith.
Blessings pace, happiness and love to all~

its not an easy thing in my head
or to be me on most days
as I swallow and hide my pain
wishing I could do more

my desire can produce emotion
but do my emotions contain desires
wishes impulses drives cravings
I find human feelings can be confusing

as I desire to be pain free
I find it too has an emotional response
even though pain is a pure feeling
a response in our human flesh

good thing spiritual matters
are things I can disconnect
from this rapidly decaying body
and thats what I will take to heaven

cause the rest of it is garbage
and Im glad I can leave it
along with my worldly possessions
and not look back

each moment is a new one
turning time into the past
soon to become old
as it keeps moving along

every minute is a gift
a fresh opportunity
like cleaning the earth
after a good rainstorm

bright shiny and behold
resolution comes swiftly
at times without hesitation
so I move deliberately

forward into the future
because yesterday is gone
poof evaporated like the rain
on a sunniest of days

and I breathe a sigh of relief
in the simplicity of it all
like grains of sand swept away
new moments take hold

in my heart I can love like a 16 year old
but my mind reminds me Im twice a widow
and my feet stand still at the thought

in my heart I can run around a track
but my mind reminds me it hurts too much
and my feet dont want to anymore

in my heart I see myself as beautiful
but my mind reminds me I have aged
and my feet keep walking through time

in my heart I think I can see heaven
but my mind reminds me Im still alive
and my feet wish they were already there

(just bringing a copy of this here before I forget to)

Back From Dirty Grey.

-----------------------------

I have been through hell and back looking for love.
And i've seen how it can go.
And In all the chasing and the hoping:
In all the fumbling and the moping,
It will wear down your soul.

And even if you don't believe that love can't be found
He will find a way:
Even when you don't, or you won't believe it:
He will make a way.

Just like a shoot sprouts forth from a concrete block
He makes the impossible possible.

Because He is our God.

Amen Via dolarossa; there is truth in that.
Cosia I thank you for the kind words. That write was inspired by Alan Heeley.
I posted it as a response to one of his.

Hugs, peace, and love to all :) I was awakened by coughing.
Nice thing about a cold is the meds help me sleep.
Really blesses me to know that my my scribbling are inspiring others to put pen n to paper
(or more like finger to keypad)

Alan Heeley, I once posted on many now defunct sites. One of them contained decades of posted poetry.
In one of my favorite threads we would all follow each other, using the last line of a poem.
It was so much fun, as we would "feed" off the ideas of others, forming them into our own.
Too bad decades of written word by hundreds of ordinary people were lost forever.

Sometimes your writes remind me of the times when I was able to "follow" along.
I dont think there are enough of us poets here to attempt such a thread.
Im happy our wee little haiku thread gets the posts it does :)

Because He is our God

Because He is our God
I can get up in the morning
Because He is our God
The sun shines
Because He is our God
I can face all my tomorrow’s

He knows me better than I know myself

(That was fun😊 follow that?)

:) I can play well with others...

he knows me better than I know myself
in the darkest of shadows or in the light,

His footsteps of old written long before
guide with knowledge of wrong and right,

as I lift my eyes to the heavens and stars
I know He protects me as I sleep at night,

while I do dream a little dream of comfort
my prayer concerns of today take flight,

and I can rest in His loving arms everlasting
with visions of heaven in my site~
