The apocrypha has all kinds of information about things the seven archangels angels did.
I find this reading very interesting, and wonder why these "dead sea scrolls" were left out of the bible.
They contain the only record of how Hanukkah is to be celebrated.

Good morning, thenami;

I don't know if this will relate to your post. What came to mind are these shows on History or Discover that highlight a couple of guys who travel around the country discovering old relics and antiques. They're amazed at how many historical things that were a part of life back in the day end up in the most unusual places.

To be honest I don't watch anymore than a minute of these shows.

Perhaps it is the same reason the "dead sea scrolls" were omitted from the Bible. In my reasoning it didn't happen that way on purpose but these happenings have a connection to others like Hanukkah.

This was the FIRST post in this thread and it was the year of 2019.... WOW. Lookie how far it's come. HOW beautiful... I am going to do some serious READING here.

might our father in heaven grant us with tolerance
to accept those friends we wish to help but cannot,
to love them unconditionally even when it hurts
to forgive their faults even though we fought,

in the name of Jesus Christ might we find the strength
to pray for those whom need to control their finance,
to understand their pain sorrows and woes
to lead those struggling in life to needed guidance,

might we pray for one another on this site
no matter whom we think is wrong or right~


Fair warning Im a typo queen so I will post lots of mistakes. We are humans after all... till we are made whole in heaven one day...
 
bobinfaith, I can only guess these apocryphal books were originally omitted because they create so controversy when rightly dividing biblical scriptures. Therefore, deeper divulging still makes me wonder. Is not all scripture controversial in its own way because It defies the logic of science to the world? I read everything with an open heart and let it speak to me, because we are all crated differently. One passage might mean something completely different to you, than it does to me. I believe it is all there for us to learn from in any pace, time, or source.

There is so much I can say that is in my heart, but alas I will not do so. I need to remember I am female and stay in my lane.

I miss the way I looked at the world
through the lenses of youthful ignorance
in constant awe and wonder of the unknown
without a care of the dangers which lurked nearby

then it hit me like a snowball with a rock in it
as it smacked me right in the face with a big bruise
and taught me to question everything I knew
one obscured fact at a time I learned the lies

how I miss the joy and innocence of frivolity
which I once tasted quickly like melted ice cream
I gobbled up experiences with passion and hunger
but now I simply know way more than is fair

life certainly throws tribulation around like dice
but it is never a lucky day when it finds us
as many have endured enough for several lives
I am thankful for the hope of heaven

as our Father in heaven will delete our humanity
and the anguish we have been forced to endure

Ive been jumping through hoops
seminars and evaluations
I had to show proof of need
diets nutritionists learning to eat right
endoscopies ultrasounds x-rays
EKG's blood work and all the like
Ive discussed all my options
and six months later its gonna happen
the long awaited procedure
Im finally on the surgical schedule
so here I go into a radical new me
I sure do hope it is all worth it

with ankylosing spondylitis my body rejects meds
this doesnt happen to everyone
each case has its own challenges
but with high blood pressure
borderline diabetes high cholesterol
constant pain levels making me lose it
a family history of heart issues stroke and cancer
this is a very good option for quality of life
as my aging body is under stress
this will certainly take some of it off
my joints will feel much better
and mobility will improve

I will take the dangerous plunge
as I splash into a new body
Im overweight but not too much
just enough to qualify for this surgery
so maybe I can finally breathe deep
to release some of this concern
cause weight loss surgery is no joke
they will cut out half my stomach
our Father has me in His hands
therefore I do not worry
cause Hes got this and I will be fine
heres to a better version of me...

(surgery scheduled 7/17)
 
I sure do wish this heat wave would let up
there is no sand inside my shoes today,
I miss that sweet sea salt taste in my cup
while under a blue Shibumi I lay,

green oats billow in the breeze at Topsail
waves are covered in surfers having fun,
I wish I was there but alas I did fail
its simply too hot to sit in this sun,

so I will stay inside air conditioning
and my heart of the beach can surely sing :)

I do love my North Carolina...

I saved your NC sand in a special jar at the CABIN.... :D I can sprinkle some over your feet.... HAHAHAHAHA.

We had a wicked heat wave last week and oh my goodness... the heat was oppressive. NOT my cup of tea... and NOT the norm
for this area.

I moved up NORTH away from my daughter 11 years ago because I could no longer handle the extreme heat and humidity.

I am just NORTH enough to have escaped the heat... and because I am on the lake... we get what is called the lake effect
and that just means things are generally a few degrees cooler.
 
Its been worse before, therefore Im thankful for power and working air-conditioning.
When I was a kid, we used window fans. The only time the air was on was for company.
If it was too hot we would play in the sprinkler under the shade of an apple tree.

This celebration stuff is NEW to me. I promised myself that I would celebrate EVERY single holiday this year. HAHA.

Today is going to be a beach day for me... so I will bring a jar to collect my ONTARIO beach sand.... Maybe I'll sprinkle
in some of your NC sand to see what kind of MAGIC happens. HA

It's not even 4 am yet... so I have several hours of WAITING before the sun comes out.
 
Have a great time! Its cool to collect sand from different places. My brother has quite a collection of rocks, dirt, and sand.
He's the world traveler that ski's, mountain climbs/bikes, caves (spelunking), deep sea fishes, scuba dives, and the like.
His samples are labelled with where they are from, and dated. The beach sands are all kinds of different colors.
He is a master diver and teaches advanced techniques at resorts for free stays. Must be nice to afford all that gear and airfare.
He has taken my daughter with him on many adventures. She has started her own collection :)
Im not well enough to sit on a plane for countless hours. It takes too much out of me.
My laser blue Jeep Hanna and I go on road trips, and camping instead.
 
Visitors posting :) I love it! I hope she is not an insomniac like me. Its only 10:40pm or so here. It will be a long night for me.

oh how I wish I could dream
