ANGEL STUDY

First and most important I wamt to say THANKS for the informative lessons!!!

A couple of questions or conjectures:

Regarding Halos:

Moses wore a veil so the children of Israel could not not look at his face
This was his famous fading glory. Now many who are healthy or very at peace with themselves and the Lord are said to "Glow".

This is why the heads of holy people are often depicted in art as having a halo or shining about their heads. I do not take this to be a straight-forward representation of what would be seen by a camera lens, but an artful representation of the 'glow' that is not seen with the eyes, but with the brain when looking on some such person. -- Just a conjecture, not an assertion.

Reguarding talking with a dead saint: what do you think was happening at the transiguration? (how would you describe the state of Moses and Elias in Matt 17:3 and Mark 9:4)? '

Thanks again for this discussion and all you do!!!

Thanks again for this discussion and all you In theology the intermediate state refers to the present location of a person’s spirit after death and before our future bodily resurrection. The spirits of both unbelievers and believers exist in an intermediate state after death waiting for their bodily resurrection.do!!!

I agree. Moses had been in the presece of God and it was His glory that needed to be veiled. However, in none of any Bible cases is the light involved described as a halo.

The Transfiguration, IMHO.....was to reinforce the staggering faith of the apostles. As Jesus, Peter, James, and John return from the mountain, they find the other apostles trying to drive a demon out of a man and unable to do so. When they ask why the exorcism won't work, Jesus says it is because of their staggering faith. In the context, what is it that has staggered their faith? It was Jesus' message that He is going to die and that is exactly what the Transfiguration is all about.

Moses and Elijah were in the "Intermediate State". In theology the intermediate state refers to the present location of a person’s spirit after death and before our future bodily resurrection. The spirits of both unbelievers and believers exist in an intermediate state after death waiting for their bodily resurrection.

The resurrection of New Testament saints, believers in Christ or Christians, has not yet occurred. When Jesus told the thief on the cross that he would be in heaven, Christ was referring to the intermediate state for the spirits of believers.

When believers physically die, their spirits go to the current heaven, the intermediate state.
At the rapture, the believers in Christ will receive their immortal bodies (1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).
The believers in Christ will come along with Christ at His second coming (Revelation 19:11-14; 3:5).
After the second coming of Christ, the spirits of Old Testament believers will receive immortal bodies (Revelation 20:4.)

Thanks for the compliment and the question!!!!!

It is interesting that the Euphrates river is drying up. I know the Revelation talks about this happening and the river being stopped up completely. How close the rapture must be!

Dams and drought have reduced the waters of the two rivers to about 20% of previous levels.
Turkey has built 7 dams on the river and diverted the water so as to irrigate the crops in Turkey.

All it takes for the Euphrates to DRY UP is the flip of a switch!

If that is the case and it appears to be, then The Sixth Trumpet is getting ready to sound. The Beast will be released from the abyss after the sixth Trumpet sounds.

How close are we to the Rapture. Well, those of us who have been following Bible Prophecy find ourselves simply saturated in the sights, sounds, and smells of it. Yes, we are drenched in what some may call the ‘pre-Rapture’ showdown.

1.-------#1 Key!!!!
Israel is back in THE LAND!

2.
Russia has returned to the Middle East to go against Israel. Russia pretends to be helping Iran and Syria, but the truth is simply that they want Israel’s abundant gas reserves. In fact, Russia has established a large military base at Tarsus in Turkey, close to Israel’s huge recent natural gas find called ‘Leviathin’ – a gas find that represents one of the largest in the world.

3.
Iran, the terrorist king of the world, is extremely upset about United States sanctions. Iran, we remember, had the stiffest sanctions ever imposed upon them by the U.S. enacted in November, 2018 due to Iran’s supplying of weapons to the terrorist group Hezbollah in the Golan Heights.

4.
Turkey, where the early Church actually began, has turned against Israel just within the last several years. To be sure, in January of 2015, Turkey declared war on Israel, thus putting the final piece of the puzzle into place in terms of surrounding enemy countries prophesied to turn against Israel – another major ‘birth pang.’ We also see that Turkey has gone from a democracy to a dictatorship type of government.

5.
China has a 200 million man army just as the Rev. says that the Kings of the East will have.

So..........How close do YOU think the Rapture is.
