Any here ever practice Martial arts then?

If so, what style, and do you see any danger into getting into say a style that really gets into eastern religious mindset like say some schools of Kung Fu would ?

No sir, I have no clue, however, Sixty years ago, the USA Army called it Hand to Hand Combat. It did come in handy on a couple of occasions.

Before finding a teacher, figure out why you want to study. It could be fitness, comaraderie, self defense, self confidence, boredom, etc. Choose your teacher with that in mind. Not all schools are equal.

That's really up to your comfort level. Some schools focus heavily on chi, for example Tai chi or Aikido. So if that's not what you want then make sure to stay away.

karata and other "hard " schools seem to place emphasis on physical mainly, while eastern forms such as Kiung Fu "soft" arts focus much more upon spiritual element, and that can be very dangerous
