Ugh... I just "gardened" for 2 1/2 hours. I like the end result but the process is brutal.

They probably just didn't get enough water.I think it is lack of calcium. But I don't know how you remedy the problem.
We water about every day or two depending on the temps. They probably just didn't get enough water.
They need enough water to transport the minerals and nutrients to the fruit.
That's what I would examine first, hope it is that simple
Thank you as this is helping us get closer as my Mother in Law who has planted 50 years thought it may be that as well.Hi RootedWithGod

The soil seems to do well with everything else.
We did add about 5 inches of top soil this year.
I wonder if there is a soil calcium test. I will have to check. Good idea.

Fires, thunder heavy rain.
The saying here is always: Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall. Don't Like the Weather here? Stick Around, It will change.your just about describing Missouri weather it changes like a clock
normally august is Hot/dry this year we have had more than enough rain to sustain things .last 2 years was drought like conditions 77 at the moment shows low around 58 tonight next week mid 90sThe saying here is always: Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall. Don't Like the Weather here? Stick Around, It will change.
As we speak its a nice 85 today, next week it will slowly move up to 100 and three days later 78 LOL
The last two weeks have actually been really nice. We had 107 a month ago and straight week over 100.
So I hope that is over. But we do get what they call Indian summers here at times.
Its weird too. Last week in September, it will be 85 like now. Shoot up to 100+ for 3 or 4 days and Boom then next week.
Fall starts and it will rain and be around 70ish and wont be warm again until November when we get a small push after Halloween to around 85 and then we can see snow two weeks later LOL
