The good thing about these movies is that it does not matter how old the actors get, no one will notice.
Personally, I’d say yes.
I would definitely recommend seeing Avatar 1 first. But I'd also say it’s not absolutely necessary, however you will get much more out of the sequel if you see Avatar 1 first.
The second Avatar develops many plot points that begin in the first movie so it will definitely make more sense and be more fun if you understand the relationships and circumstances that unwind in the latest movie.
Not a bad idea. There have only been two, so not that difficult to do. The first one provides useful background information.

I think they'd be better off watching God's Not Dead 1, 2 and 3 on Youtube.

In the US it seems they go into court to fight a legal battle about God. Not really a movie for children I mean they kinda get bored when people argue and talk all the time. It was interesting though I don't know if it would have much appeal except for budding lawyers and people who like the Newsboys.

Case for Christ was a good movie I thought.
But I don't know any Christian movies that are recently released, they don't tend to stay long at the movies. Sometimes they only get shown for a week or so then disappear. You have to be quick.
If you want to go out, the movies have a bit more novelty appeal than telling children let's just stay home and watch youtube videos. They already do that lol.

Most of these movies are on several of the many streaming services around. On Sunday, I started to see Samson, but it was not even close to the Biblica version. I was ok with that, but the acting was horrible.
It's America - we go to court for practically anything you can think about. We have freedom of speech but go to court to decide where your right to say something impacts my right not to hear it. We have a right to bear arms but go to court to litigate what types of guns apply and how many bullets should a magazine hold. We have the Establishment clause and now argue why we cannot say Merry Christmas. It's just what we do.
They can see those and then see Avatar 2. It's a win win.
It's 20th Century and how can you not trust something you don't even know?
Those movies are good too.

So, the visuals alone show to us a fetish with non-human characters. Why are they fixated on non-human characters, even when depicting what appears to be strong family values in the midst of pantheistic faith? All of those things can be shown in human form. Why deviate, and why glamorize pantheism, be it ever so small a part in the overall movie imagery and dialogue?
I just don't see any redeeming value in the unrealistic vantagepoints that do not focus upon the totality of biblical values, truths and virtues. Paul was all things to all people, but never to the point of compromise. Would he have allowed himself to transform his reflection of God's image to become something other than human in order to reach others? No. He did not get tattoos, nose rings or any other rudiments of paganism in order to reach pagans. He wouldn't even drink to excess in order to sit on a bar stool to reach the drunken lost.
Also, it's PG-13, not G. Granted, the rating system is indeed messed up these days, having drifted into R now as the rating for what would have passed for X in years past.
Boredom with the Bible is what seems to push many into the spongy arena of compromises through amusements. That word...A-MUSEMENT is very telling in itself. A- meaning NOT, and MUSEMENT- thinking. Get it? NOT-THINKING.
Dare we ignore the spiritual infections from things that seem harmless, without going to the extreme of looking for demons bahind every door and around every corner...we still must remain vigilant at all time:

9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Most here, if not all, would say outright that they were not devoured by any measure in Avatar. What of those who were, or are? Deity alone knows what has happened in individual lives. Fantasy has its lures upon many hearts without some banner appearing upon the foreheads of those who are deeply affected in order to make it so obvious what has happened within them. I am not Deity, as is true of others here, so I cannot say one way or the other as to the unseen effects. The more liberal will generally deny any and all negative effects, which is par for the course in their belief system(s).
I will stay the course, and refrain from watching it. It cannot possibly hope to bolster my adherence and heart-set desire to uphold scripture as being all that I need for what I take into myself for encouragement through spiritual diet of intellectual grounding.

It's ok I'm not really into it much myself. But when people like sci-fi they REALLY get into it. Hence rabid Star Wars fans...
I've seen Avatar and I've seen the Smurfs, and they are kind of similar (to me)
I don't know if my friend would be into Avatar though, sci-fi not being her thing, but there's not much choice at the cinema at the moment. There's a British rom-com about Indians arranged marriages, but since she's already been cheated on in her marriage it's probably not a good choice to watch that one.
I just watched Nomadland on dvd and I thought that was a good movie. I'm a bit fascinated by company towns. The company goes bust and then there's no jobs and everyone has to leave cos they can't make a living. This widow ends up living in her van.
She does find seasonal work at Amazon. Amazon is not a giant bookstore, it's a huge warehouse and distribution centre. You are just picking orders in a windowless building under flourescent lighting and wearing safety vests.
But it's a job. Someone needs to get those books out for people who don't ever use the library.
