Amen, Major! I agree with you on the second one. Its a Spiritual Battle.
So true, YeshuaFan, thank you for pointing Paul's battles.
You know, from witnessing Christians that are growing in their prayer life, reading the Word and learning how to discern God's purpose for them, I have heard them express that they are so tired of the false teaching of devil possession and conjured up ministries to confront them.
Our brother Peki posted this thread to stimulate discussion, all for good, and keeping an open heart by what others posted is also good. It blesses me to personally learn more of your views according to the Scriptures, and how we are one in Christ's Body as well as serving in the same Army of God.
1 Timothy 6:3-5, 3 If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, 4 he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 5 and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain.
Merry Christmas, brothers and sisters.
I have said before that in my opinion, we have heard more about casting out demons, and possessions ever since Hollywood came out with Exorcism movies.
Monkey see.....monkey do.
I have been to many places all over this earth. I have seen some terrible things do by people. During missionary trips, I have seen some terrible people. I have witnessed witch doctors in Uganda and physic practioneners as well as voodoo services. in Central America. ALL of them were demonically motivated and Satan was behind ALL of them.
I have personally dealt with mentally disturbed people but I have never witnessed a demonic possession and exorcism and I am pretty sure I never will.
