Wearing thongs with socks is a Southern California thing. At church you'll see Christians wearing thongs with or without socks and tank tops.
When I lived in San Diego I attended a Christian event of youth and young adults. (I was one of those young adults) and the pastor was wearing old jeans, T-shirt and thongs (sandals). It wasn't pretty but he gave a powerful message on guess what? Matthew 6:25-34
I'm guessing it's pretty warm down in SoCal.
I'm going to order that new dress I saw online. Since I can't get to the shops. I don't know how long it will take but I figured I saved enough money by not shopping in quarantine.
well I am now wearing a new dress (hooray!) the shop didn't have one so I got a refund, but I got two others!
It came pretty quick because it was a local order.
The other shop might be delayed because its from out of area. Hard to tell with online /chain shops these days, where they are getting their product from. But if it's a small boutique you pretty much know where you are ordering from. I ordered a few to save on shipping and because variety is the spice of life, plus, its very hard to find dresses in my size so I don't really have that much choice!
Eg it might look like there's hundreds of styles available but when you narrow it down to your own size you only really end up with a handful to choose from!

I didn't wear a suit at service today. Instead, I wore a long sleeve black/grey/red plaid shirt (Christmas gift from a church member) with jeans (I never wear torn jeans to church)

My other new dresses came and I was very happy (one is paisley pattern!) with them as now got something new to wear. And the weather has been hot!
But I was thinking, I do envy animals a bit as they don't really need to wear clothes, they have fur or feathers, or scales. Imagine just having feathers instead of clothes. I expect birds don't worry about being stung by wasps.

was wearing my new dress yesterday and 3 people commented on how much they liked the dress.
I can't show you a photo of it from online cos I bought the last one.
I will describe it. It was olive green colour, with white dahlias printed on it. And came with angel sleeves, v neck and empire line bodice. The skirt is a full a-line and it came with pockets, and it was maxi so the length is mid calf (over the knees).
No zips or buttons you just throw it on. The material is viscose but its good quality with a bit of texture to it and cool to wear.
