COMPELLING "NARRATIVE"

I personally think that many miss the point of the Gaza/Israel Conflict ... innocent civilians and children are starving and dying, as the World watches on or buries their heads in the sand (mho)

The reason for my posting this topic, is NOT to cause disharmony or challenge anyone's belief, rather my intension is to draw attention to an ongoing conflict that has escalated beyond an acceptable level (to say the least) ... it is INHUMANE!

Hamas still holds hostages. The war could end tomorrow but Hamas chooses to have it go on, knowing the images of suffering and starving Palestinians will turn the hearts of many in the west.
Do we really know the Truth, as this situation seems to be so politican with a lot of propaganda. Are the children and innocent people who are SUFFERING, STARVING and DYING not the REAL ISSUE?

I wonder if this forum is the place to post worldly hate propaganda from any source. Can such propaganda be edifying to the body of Christ? We must never forget that God, and not we humans, who is in charge of history, so our earthly opinions aren't of much value except to stir up the devil's divisive dealings.
This is very well said BibleLover. This topic... ( even though it has been CIVIL) ... is one that NO one can DISCUSS with full certainty of TRUTH. We are seeing with our EYES what is happening but unlike God... we cannot see or know it in full.

They are certainly victims, but of whom?

Is Gaza a "state"? Is Hamas their "leaders"? Did Hamas declare "war" on Israel?

Either Gaza is self governing and thus responsible for its own actions, or it is not and Israel must govern it accordingly.

One should ask Hamas to lay down their arms. Only then will the suffering end.

How does a "two state" solution impact the people of Gaza?
Palestinians are the ethic group that lives in Gaza...right?
It was established and it became a refuge for those Palestinians who fled after the 1948 Palestine War that they instigated and lost in 1948............Right?

A 2 state solution would establish one for Israel and One for the Palestinians in Gaza.......Right?

That very proposal has been offered twice and was rejected twice by the Palestinians.

Hamas hard-liners and its most senior leader from 2017 to 2024, rejected a two-state solution.

Yes I think that we do know.

Yes......children and innocent people are suffering, but what about those children in Israel that were killed by Hamas rockets and the 1200 innocent people slaughtered on Oct 7th.

That invasion by Hamas FROM Gaza was not propaganda but is a fact and an act of war. When any group of people, invade and attack another group that is an act of war and in war everyone suffers.

With all due respect to you and in Christian love......you are looking at this with biased blinders on my dear friend.

NO ONE....can do what was done to Israel over and over and over and nt expect the hammer to fall.

Allow me to ask you this question. You live in Australia. If New Zealand sent rockets into your capital city every week, killing children and innocent people and then one day they came into Sidney and kidnapped 1200 innocent people, decapitated babies and raped the women and killed them and kept several hundred for bargaining chips.....what would Australia do?????

We both know what they would do because WAR has ramifications!

For me.....I appreciate any and all interactions on hard topics to talk about.

Now please allow me to say this......I agree with your opinion.
The action going on in Gaza is terrible. No sane person would disagree with that. The real question however is.....
Is it what has to be done to have peace?

However, we must not be so biased in our observations so as to look past the fact that what is going on was "invited".
Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon are terrorists Muslim people who have hammered Israel for years. Hundreds of Israeli children and innocent people have been killed and thousands more injured. They have ONE goal in life and that is to totally remove the nation of Israel from existance.

The nation of Israel took as much as they could take and the WAR that started on Oct 7th has ramifications.

I know how brutal that sounds but that is the reality of WAR.

We should also remember that what is going on is not new. I call your attention to 1 Samuel 15:3......
"Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’

The context there was that the Amalekites launched a cowardly and unprovoked attack on the weary stragglers at the rear of Israel’s camp (Deuteronomy 25:17-18). These people were the elderly, the weak, and the children—those who could not defend themselves.
In response, God declared that He would have “war with Amalek from generation to generation” (Exodus 17:16).

While many view the command in 1 Samuel 15 as sudden or harsh, it is critical to realize that it came after approximately 400 years of divine patience. God delayed the execution of judgment on the Amalekites to give them time to repent. This is consistent with God’s character, as seen in His dealings with other nations.

For example, in Genesis 15:16, God told Abraham that the iniquity of the Amorites was not yet full, meaning He would wait until their sin reached its peak before acting. Similarly, God gave the Amalekites ample opportunity to turn from their wicked ways, but they continued in their hostility toward Israel.

The judgment pronounced in 1 Samuel 15 was not the result of one isolated event, but a culmination of persistent, unrepentant wickedness spanning centuries.

Just as with the Palestinians of Gaza, The Amalekites’ sin was not limited to a single attack. They repeatedly demonstrated a pattern of violence and aggression.
