That is a very interesting statement. I have never heard it put that way.Yes, but its Him doing that, in response to prayers and in his sovereign will, as he has not granted anyone here on earth power to do those things anymore
remember in the Bible, it stated even the shadow of peter falling upon the sick could heal them, or something paul had worn and sweated in?That is a very interesting statement. I have never heard it put that way.
I'm not disagreeing with you...The topic of healing is one for another thread. As with everything else in the world of Christianity... it is something that has been extremely mis-represented and ABUSED.remember in the Bible, it stated even the shadow of peter falling upon the sick could heal them, or something paul had worn and sweated in?
Very true. It is very sad and it harms the cause of Christ! What is known is that despite their best efforts to state that they all have the power of God to heal and do miracles today, their claims can never be verified
Some revivals put on by the Assembly of God are advertized in advance as "Healing Miracle Services".Were miracles expected at Revivals??? I know that many people got saved at these crusades/revivals... but were they like giant altar calls
or like a Charismatic meeting?
I understand brother. I was only speaking to the Scripture of Mark 14 at the time of that posting.Just checking, because you said, "and only those eleven".(referring to the original twelve minus one).
Remember the faker larry P? He had people interview people when they came into the arena, and would have them write down health needs, and he would have the assistant whisper in his ear hearing device what each health need was, and looked like he had discern that from God HimselfVery true. It is very sad and it harms the cause of Christ!
The issues with these so-called revivals is that they tend to build psychological hype and create pseudo miracle experiences. The other difficult part is defining "healing". Some illnesses can be furthered by the mind and an event like this could in certain cases lessen the issues caused by the mind.
I think it would be a good study to look into how many cases of miracle healings done by faith healers have been medically verified. By medically confirmed I mean that a certified physician confirmed, through a trustable protocol of medical examination, that the healing did in fact take place, not just because some one says........"I had cancer and I was healed when Benny Hinn told me to touch the TV screen".
Perhaps some, but surely not all revivals are 'healing-oriented'.Some revivals put on by the Assembly of God are advertized in advance as "Healing Miracle Services".
So the people who gather are already in the mind set of getting something from God OR...OR they do not have enough faith to believe!
Yes sir....I actually said "Some revivals"!Perhaps some, but surely not all revivals are 'healing-oriented'.
