(4) The Holy Spirit is not going to sap you into Holiness, it is your choice to do right, and then the Holy Spirit will fill you. If you resist evil it will flee and then God can work in and through you. While the Holy Spirit will not "sap" you into holiness He will be the only one who can truly live a holy life-you do make choices but without Him it is an exercise in religious futility- the letter still kills the Spirit still gives life-
I love you too, but a believe cannot keep the pants on if they don't turn form the things that entrap, snare, and defeat. A person must stop and run or there will be not victory. Joseph ran, he did not stop to kneel and pray, find a favorite bible verse to quote at Satan, etc., He Ran, He Turned, He Fled. We all must run regardless of the pain, consequences, loss, repercussions, because following righteousness in never easy but spiritually rewarding and pleasing to God.Thank You for your view Gordon - I love you in Jesus Name.
