Free Masonry and Christianity Can Not Co-Exist

i was never in it//and i never stated you said .iam saying i happened to know a deacon who stood for the Lord and was a mason.. i dont have any use for being a mason . i know aleged Christains who likes the ladies/who has no issue in taking a drink or saying few swear words just as long as it dont use god AND D** TOGETHER OR USE THE FAMOUS FUDGE WORD ignore the caps fat fingers.....just some things God will have to sort out. growing up ason of a mason i can say with %100 assurance the masons was not his God ...the small lodge he belonged to didnt go into all the degrees.. do i wish he had not been in the Lodge yes,, but at one time it was a honor in society to be a mason
Sorry for the confusion in post #37 you said...my mistake.
i could been a mason over 45 years ago had i chose.. back in my younger years i thought i had a wild streak.

the title of the post

Free Masonry and Christianity Can Not Co-Exist

its best not to i know good christians that was. today i hardly know anyone that is a christian and in the masons.. myself i dont recommend it. there is elks lions club few other clubs... i only need Jesus

As I'm reading these posts... my brain is thinking..... YOU are either FOR CHRIST or AGAINST Him.

I don't see how a Christian can excuse or reconcile the Masons as a harmless "men's club". I have heard people state this in the past. Anything done in the dark behind closed doors is NOT of CHRIST or FOR HIM. I don't think you can be a MASON and a CHRISTIAN at the same time.

There is an EVIL force behind the MASONS which is hidden to the general public. I guess I should premise my words with It's MY OPINION. HA

Exactly the point!

As you can see, when anyone wants to do something that God says not to do, or excuse what has already been done, all kinds of excuses will come out of the wood work so as to try and reconcile what we do with what God condemns.

THAT right there IMHO the very reason why the Church of the living God has diminished over the years and actually has NO power at all in our society.

God says....."Do not swear any oaths"!

God says......"But we have renounced disgraceful, underhanded ways."

But WE say...........
My father was a Mason and he was a good man.
Lots of good men are Masons.
It is just a club.
They believe in God.

None of those or anything else we can think up apply. Many of us have fathers that were in the Masonic lodge but that does not make it accepable. YES....Lots of good men who are ignorant are Masons. YES it is a club. YES they believe in God but so does Satan.

my father was a good man and a saved christian man -- who was a mason i also know of others same way..in fact i was told by older mason it will Not make you a chrstian ,,but it can help being a better man.. many years ago the masons was respected

I respect what your father was and I am sure he was a Christian. That is not is question!!!!

The facts however are What our relatives may or may not have done or been does not does not make it right brother.

The point of the thread was.....Can Christianity and Freemasonry co-exist?

In light of the Scriptures, IMHO they can not.

Put aside what our fathers were, Put aside what some has told you. IT does not matter what Masons were. Allow me to ask YOU to respond to these questions.

1. God said in Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.”
If any club or organization has a position that it supports generic deity, or seems to divert or dilute believers’ focus from the God revealed in Scripture......should it be rejected by the Christian.

2. God said in Acts 4:12, “Salvation exists in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”
If any club or organization supports any monotheistic faith as long as they profess belief in a Supreme Being as the Artichect of the Universe....should it be rejected?

3. God said in 2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for instruction, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
If any club or organization holds various local sacred texts as equal to the Bible during its rituals, placing them on the altar as representations of divine revelation for members of different religions....should it be rejected?

Probably for the same reasons, many 'Christians' see the Christian faith as merely a religion of formalities until they are born again.

i am more than well aware of the masons and the fact christians needs to avoid it .. with 2 ministers in the family my brother who has been preaching a good 40 years and me going on 26 years... neither of us has anything to do with the masons... i will compare this to those who hold the eternal security which live how they want.. the adultery's the alcohol the just another type living.. then saying there ok.. when scripture plainly tells us different .. i seriously doubt they was saved... i have tried to do my post in a Bibibcal manner... you dont know my dad or any of the other... facts are i know southern baptist in the masonic lodge and serve in the church...

i am bowing out of this as it crosses a line.. i need not go ( I respect what your father was and I am sure he was a Christian. That is not is question!!!!) but that is the question i leave it at that
