Someone asked me, "How can a loving God send someone to hell?"
That question is not an uncommon one, and has been asked for centuries.
After much thought, I arrived at something of an answer, which at first glance might appear cynical, but it's not intended to be.
I asked myself, "What would it be like for be an unconverted person, complete with a sin nature, to reside in Heaven?"
I can't think of someone in that situation being in a more miserable condition, wanting to sin and being in an environment where such a thing is impossible. Such a person could never be happy in Heaven.
Granted happiness in Hell would also be impossible, but there I believe the person might have an outlet for the sin nature.
God's love doesn't allow the unregenerate into Heaven, not out of malice, but out of love, to spare them the misery of being eternally out of place.
