Bible is clear where there is a "Falling Away" What group is falling away, who are they?
The tares are the "WORLD" not the church, not a use to be church, but the whole World.
"The tares of the wicked One" (Mat 13:38)
NO, the wicked are those in the World, why are you trying to make a special "Falling Away" Group that is not mentioned in scripture?
There is ZERO scripture about any place called (Church) that falls away. ZERO
There is scripture warning to the 7 churches in Asia Minor that if they don't get things right, then bad things happen. Those churches are long gone, but scripture concerning churches to get it right would be relevant today as the Word is eternal and forever.
The only Church mentioned is the one where the Gates of Hell do not prevail and is presented without spot or blemish. No scripture about a group of people falling away or something that used to be a (True Church) falling away.
That does not mean there are not lots of Bad places people call (Church) but the Lord is not involved with any of it, as it's not His church............... "Depart from me, I knew you not"
Clear up these things.
Hi Michael..ok lets start here:
People do fall away and there are warnings about it:
Luk 8:13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which
for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
There are more, but that was just for proof. Now-The Bible is clear... Paul said that the Lord will not return until a falling away comes first:
2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren,
by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2Th 2:3
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Did you get that so far?
The words falling away in Greek is 'apostasy' which means to divorce or separate...It is a female ( as in a man divorces his wife)
If you continue reading about the 'falling away' it calls this 'the wicked' and it says 'they' and 'them'...It is not just one person:
2Th 2:8 And then shall
that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him,
whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send
them strong delusion, that
they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That
they all might be damned
who believed not the truth,
but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
Now..the words 'believe not' translate as 'disobedient' in other words, they do not
obey the truth...
Eph 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh
the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that
obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Notice- there is a group who does not know God
and another group that disobeys the gospel.
You cannot disobey a gospel you have no knowledge of...These are people who have the knowledge of the truth:
Rom 1:18 For
the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men,
who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
ok...ponder that for a minute- they hold the truth. They fell away from sound doctrine...It says they and them...they are called 'the wicked' because they fall away and begin to follow Satan. It is a 'divorce' Which means the offending party is female. Now God said it is only for fornication that one can put away their wife...So is there a 'female' that 'falls' and is accused of fornication anywhere in scripture?
Rev 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying,
Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
Rev 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me,
Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
Rev 17:2
With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
Rev 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and
the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Rev 18:9 And
the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
Rev 18:7 How much
she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for
she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
Babylon is called a harlot because she cheats on God...She thinks that she is a 'queen' (the bride of Christ')... Are you getting the picture yet?
