You have missed the point completely. Every one of you.
Not me! I knew what you were saying.
Did you read 392??? You were willing to take her place.

I didn't mention heaven and hell Major. My point was not to discuss the existence of either, only to say that nothing is eternal. The Sun has a finite life, whether you believe that or not.
I still maintain that truth is subjective, most especially in the matters of whether there is a God or not.
Which part did I miss?????You didn't really read what I said did you Calvin?
The huge difference Major being that Jesus died for all mankind not just one person and He had the authority to lay down His life and take it up again.AND that is exactly what Jesus DID DO for you and me and the whole world tubby. You are saying exactly what we all have been saying to you......do you not see what you are saying????
You said you die for that person KNOWING that there was no possible way for it to happen. Jesus said it and did when He knew that was what He was going to do. The thought is the same but the HOW to do it only resides in Jesus not you and me.
SNIP
Which part did I miss?????
"We danced for an hour even though she could barely stand." Or was it this bit "This is my example of compassion and love as I know it." ??
Course if you were just telling a made up story using the 'first person' , then my second observation kicks in....you are playing us.
I think? I saw what you meant to convey. However well you see yourself in the story, the story is really all about you, not the dying friend. You gave up on her, science and medicine gave up on her but God does not give up on any of us. Most of us have lost loved ones - their flesh died. The grief I have felt was always for myself - that I must go on without them. The difference? I know I will see them again.
The 'story' is about her, myself and my wife. The difference is not lying to my dying friend.
How was your story telling us you were not lying to your dying friend??? Think about it Tubby, review what you posted.
The huge difference Major being that Jesus died for all mankind not just one person and He had the authority to lay down His life and take it up again.
In Jesus' case, there was no misplaced loyalty, no selfish motivation, just pure love, something that can not exist because you can't produce it in the science lab
I see no similarity here whatsoever. In addition, Jesus was not an atheist.

ALL: Tubby wants proof of God's existence. No one can give that to him because he doesn't want to open his eyes to the truth. He's being evasive to questions many have posted. If you cannot see the truth about what he's doing then y'all need to pray more. I engaged thinking maybe he was wanting answers, but he's not willing to open his heart to the wonderful gift of Jesus the Christ, God Almighty.
If there were one definitive piece of proof, then who needs faith?
Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Matthew 12:39 (KJV)
But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
