Okay, I guess I'm old earth. I was reading J Vernon Magee's Thru the Bible commentary on Genesis 1; he seems to be old earth, too. That is exactly what Old Earthers say as well.

I just tend to see the old earth theory as a recalibration to fit the evolutionary model. That's all.IMHO, we must note that the Bible does not claim that the universe or the earth is only 6,000 years old. Instead, it simply states that God created the universe "in the beginning" (Genesis 1:1), without specifying how long ago that was.
This is probably NOT FUNNY .... but I'm going to take the risk...... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.From apes
We are on the cusp of genetic manipulation and cloning. Is this not a form of evolution? When was the last time you saw an ape in the transition process?
Believe me, I understand completely.I just tend to see the old earth theory as a recalibration to fit the evolutionary model. That's all.
As 'scientists', wouldn't that spell a bias?but most all of the first geologists who established the basic geologic column were believers in both the Bible and an ancient earth.
