Should any Christian Hold to Theistic Evolution then?

I would think that evolution within the species is reasonable such as in adapting to an environment. But God is the only creator so anything outside the boundaries of that creation is out. Science has erred many times in it understanding of creation and as God allows man to dabble in His 'laboratory' Science will continue to mess up to the point that we (Satan's Eden) will destroy itself, for Satan is not a creator his can only pervert that which already is. Another example is all our GMO goods, it is killing us but we just keep right on going because our motive and objective is wrong. Looking back we see Cain's people were the builders and pushing forward as in Science Able was a sheep herder, simple more in tune with the original creation. I'm not against Science I appreciate all the conveniences but at the end of the road I'm not looking to Science I'm looking up. So I interact with the world around me but we are not of this world so why fuss about it?
I find true sciences such as physics, mathematics, cosmology, and geology fascinating. When studied within a godly paradigm, they enhance my worship and wonder of God as I learn of the wonderful complexities and relationships of everything he made from the quark to the galaxy.

well. MANY famous scientists and inventors use their faith in God as the blueprint by which they sought to see His laws and operations in science

Agreed, I expect when we get to the other side and commune with the Maker our current science will be child's play.

So much for 'evolving', or were Adam & Eve actually apes. I guess these are the same that call Genesis 1 a fairy tale. (consider the source...apes)
Many Christians though do see Genesis as being a "myth or Allegory", but that would be due to them accepting the "facts" of evolution as superior to biblical revelations, but Jesus Himself confirmed the historicity of Genesis account of a literal Adam and Eve

Or do you mean 'so-called' Christians? I have a very low view of 'Christians' who view God's Word as something other than what it truly is.

im ho we have twisted and watered down the word of God. no wonder Man church is in trouble ..they call it doctrines of men....

Matthew 15:9

“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”

It really always comes down to what we think the Hebrew word "YOM" means. I am not taking sides here, only posting what is thought in both camps.

Young earthers believe it means a 24 hour, 7 day a week time frame.

Old earthers believe it means an "Age of time".

Source........The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (1980, Moody Press)
"It can denote:
1. the period of light (as contrasted with the period of darkness),
2. the period of twenty-four hours,
3. a general vague "time,"
4. a point of time,
5. a year (in the plural; I Sam 27:7; Ex 13:10, etc.)."

Source........Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible.
1. "From an unused root meaning to be hot; a day (as the warm hours), whether literal (from sunrise to sunset, or from one sunset to the next),
2. Figuratively as space of time defined by an associated term.

It is interesting to note that in 67 verses in the Old Testament, the word Yom is translated into the English word "time."

In Isaiah 30:8, it says "Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever."

In this case, Old Earth believers will argue that "Yom" here in the Scriptures is equal to "forever." How long is forever? An infinite number of years...billions upon billions upon billons of years. If Yom can equal trillions of years here, then why not billions of years in Genesis?

Again........I am just presenting the arguments and not taking sides.

Time is a creation of God just like the other 3 dimensions, and time was created for our benefit so that we might have a way of measuring it so that we would have benefit of knowing our mortality so as to give a sense of urgency to making use of our lifetime for God’s glory.

However, for time to exist, it must have a means for measuring it. That's where the sun comes in. We use our planetary orbit around the sun in combination with the earth's rotation to mark the passage of time. If the sun didn't exist, time would not exist.

Thus, from the first day until the fourth day, time didn't exist. Therefore, it is impossible to put a time frame onto those first three "days" of creation.
