Journal The Cabin

Sometimes, its a beautiful thing not to be so serious about life.

Hey, thenami;

I'm here with my good morning coffee and read your good post. It gave me this thought. Staying cooped up at home for long periods can put us "in a box." Soon we'll either be bored, our thoughts get filled with brain chatter and unhappiness because of our lack of social contact.

It's called...
Cabin Fever. lol!

I'm not talking about a day or two at home. I personally enjoy our home. It's when we're "cooped" up for many days in the home. We humans are social beings and it's in our ADN to connect with other humans.

Usually when I get out of the house I feel a sense of positive energy and am capable of getting along with strangers and it's nice to run into people I know, etc...I also have those days when I don't know nor understand myself and my sudden mood.

Whether I'm home, outside, in a
happy spirit or feeling moody, when we focus on the Lord in all of those moments, ask Him to help us focus on Him and guard our hearts and tongues. It works, it really works.

This helps me feel that the seriousness in life and the things I cannot control, the Lord has this!

God bless everyone.

I was showing Aunt Helga that I can sing just like Elvis Presley.........she was not impressed. She said it was more like Elvis Costello.

This would be a great topic for a thread on the biblical pros and cons of solitude vs. interacting with people. I.E. Jesus going off to pray for a long time vs teaching the masses, or Paul going away in the wilderness alone to be taught by Jesus. This seems right up your alley, Bob.

You are correct here. But, as a matter of fact, my likeness is for sale:
