A big and bless-ed HELLO to everyone!
Waited for the Lord to give me a message to write this morning, but nothing -- instead with 5 computers now in our house in various stages of messiness - all requiring a lot of work still: 2 to be setup to keep, and 3 to be finished setting up to sell on Ebay (one is virtually done, hallelujah!) - well, basically the whole she-bang is pretty-much out of hand, and both of us rather overwhelmed by it all....
But no doubt I'll be back sometime within 24 hours lovely peoples, you can depend on it! But for the moment I better unpack the 5th PC, connect it to the Network, get XP Pro registered with Microsoft and start to setup our important stuff on it from my main, old and tired 'puter - being the one that played up so badly and which started this whole sorry business off.... over FOUR months ago!!! Can it really be that long this has been going on?? Grrrr!! *oops, please pretend I didn't say 'Grrrr!!' lol*

Hey, Faithwoman! I get my graphics from a site called Photobucket. Its free, and has LOTS of good stuff in there. But there is some raunchy stuff, too, so be careful! I have an account there, (its free, too!) and you find what you like, click on it, then it will come up on a page with a box that says "save to my album". Click on it. When its done, you click on "ok" then "back". Then when you are ready to post it on a thread, start your reply, then go to photobucket while keeping the thread page open. At the bottom of your graphic, there is about 5 boxes. Click on the bottom one and it will bring up a small box that says "copied". Go back to your reply, right click and click on "paste" and there you are! Easy Peasy!
There is a thread called "snaggables" that has graphics you can use, but you'll have to get with Violet and let her show you how to 'snag' those. I dont know. I have about 20 subalbums besides the main album on photobucket! ha! But I have just about gone thru all they have of smilies.

YOU'RE NEVER ALONE - TRULY!
I gotta say that I don't get why we Believers are always struggling with trying to do things on our own! Well maybe I do. We're surrounded by 'things' aren't we, virtually NONE of which help us with our Spiritual life - but rather the opposite! Then what happens? - well, we feel like God is not there... and so that makes things even HARDER still for us!
But of course He IS! And seems to me that in the verse below, God's gone to a WHOLE GREAT LOT OF WORK in the Greek text to spell out His very personal message DIRECTLY to YOU and to ME - so that we cannot POSSIBLY not get it: that He is ALWAYS with you, NEVER separated from YOU!!! No, not even by committed sin!... because ALL sin was forgiven at the cross, for each and every one who's accepted His sacrifice as being personally and specifically for ME!!!
Okay, here are the simple words from the Greek New Testament as in the New King James translation:
Hebrews Ch 13
5b. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
GOD Himself said this!!! He said "never". Maybe I'm wrong but I think that when He says "never" - hey, that's EXACTLY what He means!!!
But let me give you some extra news - wonderful news - when we dig further into the meaning of the Greek text, as translated (and explained) in The Amplified Bible:
Hebrews Ch 13
5b.For He (God) Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let [you] down, [relax my hold on you]. -- Assuredly not!
Explanation 1:
In the Amplified, words in square [] brackets are NOT in the original verse being translated. But the translators consider that they most certainly are part of Biblical truth! So they put them there to help our understanding - just so long as we always remember that they're NOT in the particular Scripture right there. For this reason many times I don't read them - cos I want to know just what God said. But sometimes I do read them, and they can be VERY helpful indeed!
Explanation 2:
Are you surprised about the "I will not" - repeated no less than THREE times! I sure was the first time I read it. I thought to myself, "Umm, what's going on here? Doesn't the Greek just say, 'I will not?' - and that's it.
Well NO! Christian Greek scholars who really 'get' what the original language is saying see that there are actually three negatives expressed in the Greek!!! Was God trying to, ahh, maybe STRESS something here?!! And if we leave the square brackets out for a moment, we have something like this:
I will, "NOT, NOT, NOT leave you alone!!!" And we could also legitimately say that God added: "NO WAY, HOSAY!!" Wow, that sure works for ME! And I hope it does for you also.
So please learn to ignore your FEELINGS, and any 'aloneness' that, trust me, you WILL feel from time to time - that God really has gone right away from you, maybe even as far as 1 million miles away! NOT SO!! HE'S STILL WITH YOU - ALWAYS!!!!

I TOTALLY agree with every word of that!
And I know that you know that God loves us all. Right? But at the moment I think you're questioning whether He actually loves YOU! If that's so, then there has to be a reason (or probly reasons) why you're feeling that. I can remember similar feelings during my Christian life, when I was in a real 'down' period, for example.
I know that if you share with us what it is, we'll give you answers that you'll probably feel you've heard before - but they never helped then, so why should they help this time?
After a fair period of time with this happening you can easily get to feel that you'll never get sorted out, and that you're never gonna make it! And that's not a nice feeling is it?
If you want you can PM me and tell me what's wrong - but MORE than that. Tell me why you think it's wrong, and especially what you think needs to be done - but you don't know how. What I'm saying is that maybe it's time for us to listen more to what you're saying and feeling, more than giving you answers that don't seem to help. I don't know if you can see what I'm saying. SCRIPTURE (6) - BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING!
PART 2 (Part 1 is HERE)
Philippians Ch 4
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
THE PROBLEM DEFINED
The word 'anxious' above comes from the idea of distraction. It means to be 'troubled with cares', (ring any bells?) and it’s as if the troubledness stems from our minds being taken up with TWO (or more) things at once - as in "divided or separated into parts" - which is the root word from which the word 'anxious' comes in the Greek text!! Now isn't THAT interesting!!! Talk about trying to serve God and the world at the same time! - calculated to tear you apart...
So there may be this DREADFUL CONFLICT between:
.:: Trying to have FAITH in the Lord
.:: But being DISTRACTED with the circumstances of our life at the time...
and from this division of our mind and spirit comes the ANXIETY, which of course, HELPS NO ONE IN ANY WAY AT ANY TIME! Thus: "Be anxious for... exactly NOTHING!!!"
THE ANSWER IS HERE!!
In my messages here and in other places, I say over and over that the primary FOCUS of all of our life has to be the LORD. Our life has to REVOLVE AROUND the THINGS of God and RELATING to Him and OBEYING Him. Fail to get this FOCUS - and you've FAILED, period!!!
Instead of having the RIGHT FOCUS, for most Christians it's THINGS that we want, or it's our FEELINGS: our excitements, joys, desires, hardships, sadness. Sadly the majority of these things are of THE WORLD for most folks - rather than of GOD!
Galatians Ch 6
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
We reap what we sow. We can either sow to the flesh (the world, and most especially what I want to do) and reap corruption. Or we can sow to the Spirit (God and His will for you and your life ) and reap everlasting life. This is VERY STRONG STUFF, hey!!!

TIME FOR EVERY SERIOUS CHRISTIAN TO CHANGE OUR ATTITUDE TO MATERIALISM,
