The Rocks Will Cry Out
God is so good He deserved praise.
Psalm 100:4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
John 12:12 On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Just as they waved the palm branches and shouted praises, I like to give the Lord a wave of praise. The ones that loved Jesus couldn’t help but praise Him and didn’t care what the others thought about it.
Luke 19:37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 38Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. 40And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
The rocks will cry out if we don’t praise Him!
Have you noticed how religious people get nervous when we begin to praise and worship the Lord?
Mark 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.4And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? 5For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
6And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.
They didn’t like it when she washed His feet with her tears and could not see the beauty of her worship, but it was precious to Jesus. There are always some who will not like our ways of praise and worship. Why refuse to praise Him just because they have a critical spirit? It’s not what they think that matters but what GOD thinks about it.
He is looking for those who will praise Him. And when we do, we are just doing what we were created for. It’s not about us but about giving Him the glory due Him.
Psalm 102:18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
Revelation 4:11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created
The greatest thing is to be in His presence worshipping Him. What can be greatest than to be with the One who is the creator of all things? It’s amazing how he wants to be with us, mere man. Like the Psalmist said what is man that thou art mindful of Him (Psalm 8:4)
Psalm 16:11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presenceis fulnessofjoy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
1 Thessalonians 5:19 Quench not the Spirit.
Don’t let anyone keep you from praising Him. Rejoice in your King saints of God! When you feel it bubbling up inside let it flow out ! He is worthy of all praise.
Psalm 149:2 Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
He is the Lord of Glory! He is the Lord who should and MUST be praised, even if it has to be the rocks that cry out. But no rock will ever take MY place!! Hallelujah! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!Magnify the Lord with me! Lift up your hands and praise Him!
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say Rejoice!
