Yes there us all kinds of scripture telling it happened. Question is how was Christ born free of sin. Thing is if women carry the sin nature as well as men, something had to occur to protect Christ from it. Being impregnated by the Holy Spirit was enough to insulate Jesus from sin? Perhaps. Perhaps there is more to it.
OK........Back to the original OP's question/ How was Jesus born without a sin nature.???

I have always been taught and hold the position that the sin nature is passed down through the father.

Bible Support for this position is found in the fact that sin entered the world through Adam, not Eve. As has been stated here, Eve was the one who sinned first. However, sin did not enter the world through her. It entered through Adam.

Rom. 5:12.......
“Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned.”

As has been stated as well...that is called "Federal Headship" = This means that a person (a father) represents his descendants.

Since Jesus had not a literal, biological father, the sin nature was not passed down to Him. However, since He had a human mother, he was fully human but without original sin. Jesus has two natures: God and man.

Col. 2:9 says,.........
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of deity in bodily form.”

Jesus received His human nature from Mary, but He received His divine nature through God the Holy Spirit. Therefore, Jesus is both God and man. He was sinless, had no original sin, and was both fully God and fully man.

Hello Major;

"When you and all believers have been taught and hold the position"
says to me that we choose to be disciplined disciples and hold this position, then we are able to defend our apologetics with sound Truth. At the same time God sees our heart and will act on our behalf by sending us seasoned teachers and preachers.

I want to praise God in this topic for the seasoned teachers, disciples, new believers and pastors at CFS who displayed their application while holding firm, retain a listening ear and rely solely on the Scriptures and not be moved. With discipled application God will reveal and make His Word understandable.

We may disagree but we hold on to one's Christian love and disposition with each other at all times.

This includes God's discernment over an author's elongated presentations that result in contention, tossing darts and arrows to others. This exposes erroneous teaching that will break down the presentation, and expose the ulterior motive and disposition of the presenter.

As Major said, back to the peace of God through Faith and Truth regarding the original posters question, Thoughts on original sin and Christ's birth

The Resurrection ties in with the Triune. You cannot refute one and believe in the other, or vice versa.

Thank you, brother. I have to be honest. This topic is not easy and it still takes study of the Word and that's where SHARING and ASKING QUESTIONS can go a long way with learning.

Thank you as well, Pastor. Happy Resurrection weekend.
