I have previously posted a conjecture that in heaven we will not have a long vacation perusing what makes us happy but have some joyous task to do in service to the Lord. One way of considering the life of a Christian is training in following the Lord and keeping one’s thoughts and deeds dedicated to that approach to life in preparation for our long term or eternal tasks in the kingdom.
In the parable of the talents (Matthew 26:14-30) , the master rewarded his servants who did well with what the master had entrusted with authority over more of the masters affairs.
In 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 5:10 and Revelation 20:6 we are told that we will reign with Christ.
So what does it mean to reign?
The dictionary indicates that to reign is to wield sovereign authority.
We will have a task to do, and we will have the authority of Christ to accomplish it.
But, over who will we have authority? Those around us will also be co-reigners. Will it be His angels?
