Which is true?
Jas 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
Or:
Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
????????
Perhaps the answer lies in this verse:
Jas 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
True and living faith produces works, dead works or religious and mental assent is void of God's presence and power- this always results in only death.
