Willful sin....

Just trying to help you out............ Bro-tan has said that walking in God's Law, statutes, and judgements is walking in the Spirit (spirit-man) In other words you need works of the flesh, to walk in the spirit.

That was not what Paul was saying.......... He said stay filled with the Spirit (Anointed) and by walking in the Spirit you fulfill the law. One example out of many.
The law of love God teaches and writes on our heart. One that law of love hang all the rest of the law.

1Th 4:9 kjva But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love oneanother.

so walking in the Spirit is not keeping laws or statutes, but actually staying filled with the Holy Spirit, walking in that love God himself shows us and sheds abroad in our heart.

I am not going through the rest of his post. I have found it a waste of time.

Again, Paul says in Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 8:6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 8:7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. What is the Law of God???? Paul said in (Rom. 7:7, 12) (v.7) What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, THOU SHALT NOT COVET. Paul asked a question, is the law sin? He said God forbid, he said the only way that he knew what sin was, was by the law. (v.12) Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Why in the world would a Christian want to do away with something that God said is holy?

Amen. Scripture says we have been freed from unrighteousness. We can now choose to walk holy.

Lets go into 1 John 5: 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. If All unrighteousness is sin, then what is sin???? Now it says in (1John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Now we have just read the biblical definition of sin, the transgression (breaking) of the law (commandments.) It doesn’t matter what you or I think sin is, it’s what God says sin is that counts. Now you need to understand what is the law (commandment). For example….Jesus said in Matthew 19: 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. So Jesus said, “but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments,” No matter what you read in the Bible, these commandments have to be kept to enter into life, you can’t go in know other place in the Bible and try to overturn what Jesus said here, you just can’t. Now let’s read further into what Jesus is saying here in Matthew… Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Therefore, Jesus explains more in detail and what we see here is the following of the Ten Commandments. This includes the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week (Saturday). What ever else you read in the Bible, understand that this is concrete, cannot be overturn in know way.

Learn this word of God so you can understand what you are free from.

Hi,
My understanding of Hebrews 6:4-6 is that being a partaker of the Holy Spirit is by definition one who has been born of God and shares/partakes in the power of the Holy Spirit. (this stands true for all christians no matter their earthly/fleshy heritage) It is one who is born again of the Spirit of God (circumcision of flesh - Colossians 2:11). There is neither Jew nor Greek nor male or female in the Holy Ghost. (Gal. 3:28) We know that no one is saved unless they are born again (ye MUST be born again), according to Jesus in His discussion with Nicodemus (and elsewhere in scripture - many supporting scriptures.) Becoming enlightened and partaking of God's Spirit by the process of 'salvation' (which is an operation of God and not flesh or a verbal testimony), THEN ONE IS IN THE FAITH. No one can fall away from THAT faith, if they were not already in the faith. These scriptures speak to all true christians, not just Jews. Christians can fall away and become apostate by choice.

1 Cor 2: 14 .....an unsaved man cannot understand God, nor discern Him, nor taste Him and is not enlightened nor can he be a partaker of God, unless he is born again/saved.

1 Cor. 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, WHICH TEMPLE YE ARE.

How must one be Born Again, according to the word of God.

Rom 3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
The law in which a Christian lives by is the law of faith.

Gal 3:2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Is salvation given you because you did something, or by the hearing of faith?

Gal 3:5 He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Ministering by the Spirit is done NOT because of "works", but because of faith.

Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Gal 3:12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Lets go into 1 John 5: 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. If All unrighteousness is sin, then what is sin???? Every body wants to know "what must I do to inherit eternal life". Jesus tells this man who asks him what must he do to have life, by asking him question "why are you calling me good, there none good but one which is God". Jesus is telling this person it is not in what you do to receive eternal, it is in what you believe!!! This person thought Jesus was just a "good master", he failed to recognize him as God himself!!!
Later Jesus tells him....

Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

This man failed because he did not keep the most important commandment in which ALL the other commandments hang upon, and that is, "thou shalt love the Lord thy God will all thy heart mind, soul and strength. Jesus knew this guy could NEVER keep any of the commandments of God which is why he told to. Every single person who attempts this feast will discover they can not keep the law, which is why it was given to show us there is no way it can be done. We needed a savior.

eternal is never given to those who do something to get, it is only given to those who believe by faith in Jesus Christ. These signs shall follow them that believe, not those who do something. What shall we do to have eternal life?

Act 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

How must one be Born Again, according to the word of God.

By the Circumcision of the Flesh

Colossians 2:10-11 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh (the old man) by the circumcision of Christ: There was a putting off of the body. The soul put off the body of sins by the circumcision not made with hands, but by the workmanship of the Father. Salvation is a working or an operation of God. Much of the church has never really understood the extent of what God has done or allowed us to experience at that point of salvation when we are raised onto Life in Christ Jesus. Salvation is an experience and a total transformation into the New Man.

Well with all due respect, I disagree. I do not want to get into a discussion about the Law vs Grace etc. Let me just say that I believe for a born again son of God, sin is anything that is not acceptable to God. Anything that offends Him and His holiness. Anything or any truth that we reject and will not obey or walk in is sin, as we are guided daily by the Holy Spirit. He convicts us of all sin, so we always know what is sin in God's eyes.

First of all God had Peter to clearly warn you about some of Paul’s writing. (2 Peter:3:15-16) (v.15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (v.16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Now you need to take heed to this warning, you can’t ignore all the bible and just concentrate on one or two verse out of the writings of Paul. Because some of Paul’s writing is hard to be understood.

When Paul talks about the law of faith that includes the Royal law (commandments). When Paul says something like, not the works of the law or deeds of the law, Paul is talking about animal sacrificial law. Pay attention to Roman 3: 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. What is the deeds of the law Paul talking here? And notice Paul brings another law in this verse (for by the law is the knowledge of sin). Why? Because in (1John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Now let's begin by taking a look at both of the laws and how they worked together. We will see there were two laws given to Moses, they were the commandments and the sacrificial law. Watch how they worked together.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: (Leviticus 4:1-2) The law in the scriptures above is the (Royal law) commandments.

Notice something else very important in these two scriptures. It states, "If a soul shall sin through ignorance." Notice that the scripture did not says on purpose. Why? There is no sacrifice for a sin that is committed willfully. Let's find out what was to be done if a person committed a sin against the Lord unintentionally. Let's skip down to the 27th verse and take a look at the second law (which is the sacrificial law).

And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar. (Leviticus 4:27-30) So this is the deeds of the law of animal sacrifice, this is what had to be done, by the priesthood. Since Jesus death, sometime after, these laws had to stop. Pay attention to this next verse. Lets go into Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Why did the veil rent from top to bottom. Because priesthood is fired, no need for that law any more. So when we read what Paul said...Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20). Paul spoke about two laws in this verse like it was written in the Old Testament, when you first begin reading, when Moses spoke about two laws. Now we can read with understanding verse 3: 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law (animal sacrificial law).

Most people don’t have enough knowledge nor understanding of the Bible as they think they have. They rely on other people, friends or preacher to get them answer, instead of reading for themselves. When they reply or post, they hardly post scriptures or verses to explain their reasoning for disagreeing. In the scriptures it written in Proverbs 3: 5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Most people lean on they own understanding or someone else’s. Its hard for a person to ask a question for understanding instead they reply with out thinking. When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee: (Proverbs 2:10, 11)

Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

So we see the young man kept all the commandments from his youth and only one thing that the young man lack, and that is he had great possession. So lets keep in mind the things we need to do according to the word of God to be perfect in the Lord's sight. Keep the commandments and the sabbath day on the seventh day of the week which is included as well with the commandments. Do not put any trust or heart in riches or earthly treasures.

I understand the verse, but I don't see how you connect that with Born again. But one person in the Bible ask a question concerning being Born again. Let’s jump right in a conversation that Jesus was having with a man name Nicodemus.

John 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Notice verse 3, except a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. We have just learned something here. If you are not born again you can not see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus asked a very good question. Take a look at the next set of verses.

John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

In verse 5, born of the water in this case is the Word of God. Notice the Lord mentions the kingdom of God again, but He adds a little more information. He says "Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. When he mentions spirit He means exactly that. Watch how the Lord gives something physical to describe exactly what He means.

John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Notice He made a difference between flesh and spirit.

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Notice He compared the wind to a spirit. Can you see the wind? No! We have seen things being blown around by the wind, but we have never seen the wind. If you are born of the spirit you are like the wind. This is when you are truly born again, when you are born of the spirit.

I understand the verse, but I don't see how you connect that with Born again. But one person in the Bible ask a question concerning being Born again. Let’s jump right in a conversation that Jesus was having with a man name Nicodemus.
As relating to Colossians 2:10-11.....this scripture explains the spiritual process of being born again. It is defined as “the circumcision of Christ” in us (hence made without human hands). Unless you have been circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, you are not saved. Man cannot be changed from the outside. He must receive a new heredity - a new nature. This can only be done by God. We must be born from above and become a new creature in Christ Jesus.

There are many scriptures in the Word that explain the process of salvation. (not just one) Yes, Jesus' conversation of course is ONE of them. In fact, the entire bible points to Christ and SALVATION.

Colossians 2:10 - 11 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh (the old man) by the circumcision of Christ: There was a putting off of the body. Much of the church has never really understood the extent of what God has really done or allowed us to experience at that point of salvation when we DIE and then are quickened by the Spirit and raised onto Life in Christ Jesus. Salvation is an experience and a total transformation into the New Man.

Paul is talking about being renew in the mind, not born again. Jesus and Nicodemus was talking about being born again, its a different. Lets read again in John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Now, Paul says in Ephesians 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Again Paul says in Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Heres an example of what Jesus did concerning a person being born again in the spirit. Lets go in John 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. 27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. 28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Note two very important things within these verses. 1. Jesus appeared in the midst of them and the doors were shut. 2. Thomas called Him God. When Jesus came out of the grave he was born into the God family. When Thomas called Jesus God was he still a man?
