Words You May Not Know In The KJV

Hear ye.... Hear ye...... Come one... come all... to the vocabulary of OLD... sprinkled within the King James Version of the Bible.
Scholar and NON-scholar alike...( although.... the scholar will definitely have an advantage )... Just sayin. :D

and remember.... the betimes "bird" catches the worm.

Fourth example:

"Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff." (Joshua 7:11).

What does "dissembled" mean?
Since they are mixing the stolen with their own stuff, I'd say they're hiding the stolen goods.

Origen, are you using a concordance of archiac, obscure words?😀

"Israel hath sinned, = NOT good

and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: = they have disobeyed God

for they have even taken of the accursed thing, = They took something that is CURSED.

and have also stolen, ( Is that BESIDES taking the ACCURSED THING??? )

and dissembled also, ( they digested it?? HA.... they took it apart??? they disguised it?? )

and they have put it even among their own stuff." (Joshua 7:11). ( that sounds like hiding ... just sayin ) = coveted

That is a break down of Joshua 7:11.

I know I said I would stay out of it... I am just helping Bible Lover .... HAHAHA

You are getting closer.
They acted hypocritically as if they were innocent of disobedience.

This is not an easy one. I had to consult some OT passages, but the clicker I found in Galatians 2:12-13.

I hope using Strong's concordance isn't breaking the rules. I don't use the language helps, just the word lists.

Origen, brother, this thread is a great idea. It's a real challenging and productive learning experience. You should do this kind of thing more often.
