Godly Miracles, Signs, And Wonders

Not sure what this thread is for. But I'm going to share something that happened a moment ago.

I started feeding my parakeets(3) some millet spray. When you do so you have to hold your hand in the same spot for quite a while. But I did it anyways for a long time thinking "Let them eat till they are full". Eventually my hand got tired and I pulled my hand out the cage. Just as I did I got a DING DING from my phone letting me know I had received an email. I signed up to receive "random" Bible verses from abibleverse.org. God gave me 2 Corinthians 9:7, " Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, or of necessity: For God loveth a cheerful giver. "

I just love reminders God is looking out for me. :love:

Isn't it wonderful when the Lord will remind us that He is real even in the small things?
 
Has anyone seen how some rosebuds blossom (open up) in the morning? I really don’t know if all rosebuds do this, and then
they close their petals at night?

This young lady was expecting twins, but one of the twins was “crossed” in her womb. She was in the hospital when my wife and I received the call for prayer. The young lady was due any day, and the doctors were going to prepare her for a C-section. The doctors were fearful for the young lady’s life; and they had told her that without the operation, she might lose her life; and with it, only one of the babies could possobly survive.

My wife and I arrived at the hospital close to midnight, and saw how the young lady’s family was there to support her, and also saw all the flowers on the shelf facing her, and on her nightstand…then she began having childbirth pains. We read some scriptures, and then began to call on the NAME of the Lord. We didn’t pray long, when she said that something moved inside of her. The baby that was “crossed”, straightened out (she had a natural birth the next day).

All of a sudden, she cried out, “Did you see that?” Now we were all facing her while we prayed; the flowers on the shelf behind
us started to bloom (open) when we began calling on the NAME of Jesus!
 
One day I happened to be working (inside a print shop) with a person of the Baptist persuasion. We were sharing the goodness of the Lord, when we noticed that we both had a slight cold. Just the sniffles, actually. Anyway, he asked me what persuasion I espoused, and I told him that I believed in the full Gospel (sniff, sniff): that it also included healing (sniff, sniff), and prayer for every sickness (sniff, sniff). He said he also believed that God could heal (sniff, sniff)...if He wanted (sniff, sniff).

Suddenly, we felt this very, very slight, warm wind...like it was just passing by. I asked him if he felt the wind, and he said, "Yeah!" And just like that, our sniffles were gone!
 
This happened many years ago: when I was just beginning my walk.

A couple of my nephews and their little friends brought to me, a little bird that had somehow fallen from its nest. I had read somewhere that a mother bird would not care for its baby if it smelled like a human has touched it (don’t really know how true that is). All that time, the little bird was “peeping”, and trying to flap its wings. Then I remembered the sacrifice that the poor in the OT would offer the Lord. In my ignorance, I asked, “Lord, could You accept this little bird as a sacrifice for me...and my family?” I looked at the little bird that I held carefully in my hands. It just stopped peeping, and fell asleep. The Lord had accepted my offering!

That sounds a little odd to me? I find it hard to believe that God killed this bird and accepted as a sacrifice? Now I have heard of children praying for the animals they love and God giving them life, but this is kinda spooky.

You see it as a KILLING? What sounds odd is a person who talks faith, and can't see the hand of the Lord.

God is a person and not a alien. Very cool God if you ask me. I would just put it in the could be so category.

Back in prison I chewed Tobacco. An inmate wanted two of my expensive drawing pens for a can of it. I thought sure, since I was out of money and he said he would buy me the can on the next commissary run.

Well, the guy did not buy me the can, and when I asked him He told me I was a punk and a mark. Ya, I am a mark for being stupid to trust him but I just did not say a thing.

Now, I was twice the guys size, but I just walked away and told God that I forgive him and I will walk in love. I sow those pens into his life Father. It was my seed I told God.

1 year later. I had stopped chewing.

I was doing laundry in dietary, bout 3am. Strange because nobody gets movement unsupervised during that time in prison. Some fellow I never seen before just walked into my small laundry and said...... "Your mike right?"

I said ya, he then pulls out of his pocket two brand new cans of chew and hands them to me.

Then He says. "The Lord God sent me to give these to you."

He then walks out, and I slowly get up to see him go but must have got up to slow because nobody was in the hallway and he was not out in the chow hall or kitchen. Never seen him again, very strange.

I said, "Lord, now you know I don't chew anymore."

The Lord spoke right away, "I rather you not, but I said I always repay."

That made a big impression on me about God's infallible Word.

Lu 6:9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

When you let the pens go and didn't lay the sin to the other inmate, you honored God, for: "Love covers a multitude of sins." For
that reason, God honored you!
 
Miracles, signs, and wonders should be things common to the Church. But there are those who will try to turn the works of
God aside: as if they were only the imaginations of man. Satan will always come and try to rob the Church of God's blessings; but we must not deny the work and blessings of God.

"Unto the pure all things [are] pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled."
 
One should be carful in these last days, the false will have great signs and wonders also. Best to judge things by the truth of the gospel and even if one sees an Angel from heaven and they are not preaching Pauls gospel of grace, let them be accursed. One can even see many of these modern mystics working great signs and wonders, reading peoples thoughts etc.. Best stay near to Gods Word and let those who are carried away by signs and wonders be carried away.

Amen, I knew about sowing forgiveness and the Lord said not to return evil with evil, I will repay said the Lord. Did not know that included cans of chew, but I guess God keeps his word for those that believe and obey.

Stolen bike:

Out of prison and living in a homeless shelter, I had just bought a bike to get to work and it was a OK bike. (120.00) which is not very good but it got me to work.

Getting off work one day my bike was gone. Someone took it. So, I was walking back to the shelter and saw this kid on my bike. He was late teens and my first thought was to go knock him off it and hurt him a bit then take my bike back.

Then I remembered those cans of chew.

I said Lord, as mad as I am, and as bad as I want my bike back, I'll just give it to him so you don't think He stole it. I hold nothing against him and I hope he enjoys it.

It was just a week the person that ran the shelter asked me to go to the flea market store they ran and He took me in and showed me a Raleigh tour bike, super condition, 15 speed. He said someone just dropped it off that was moving and the Lord told him to give it to me. Like a 400.00 or more bike.

I never told anyone about my bike being stolen...... Praise God.

Almost makes me want to ask the devil to come and take some more stuff............ Almost. I have learned if someone takes it from me or steals it, then no big deal. I can understand why Jesus said give him your coat also.......... A better one is on the way.

Are you saying that healings and miracles in the name of Jesus are of the devil? Or that God's word denies signs and
wonders today: that they do not glorify His NAME? Who in this thread has preached another Gospel, than the one the Apostle Paul preached?
Mitspa, you don't know of what spirit you are speaking: it is not the Holy Spirit. For your benefit: "...for by grace are you saved, through faith, and not of yourselves; it is the gift of God."

Beloved, the "cans of chew" is an inmate's money: God knows that. He did not give you the cnas of chew to chaw on: but so
that you would not be broke!

Congratulations on letting the bike go: and YEP!, that's the way the Lord works (of course He wouldn't work that way for you
if you didn't believe). I know this is God, for I have also "let go" of material things and been blessed. And you are quite correct:
"It's no big deal." Praise the Lord!

I get very concerned about believers who think the devil is fooling people with healing Miracles and going about doing Good. The devil has ZERO ability to heal anything. In fact, when he touches it, then it dies and withers. He can't even keep his own people alive long enough to accomplish anything he wants, as he ends up killing them in the process and has to start over.

MP3 Player:
Son was believing God for a mp3 player, confessing and thanking God for it. One day the UPS guy drops off a mp3 player on our doorstep.

Praise God!!! we brought it in and saw that the UPS guy made a mistake. Now the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just, my son thought, but I told him if this is God, then it will still be yours if we take it to the right address and give it to the folks that ordered it.

Sure enough, My son did not get an mp3 player until later as they ordered it for a birthday present for their kid.

It's real easy to tell if Mr. Devil is involved or not.

Well, Beloved, I guess the devil can fool some people some of the time...but we know the devil's devices and his machinations.
So we can keep away from those: but giving the Lord Jesus glory, and honor, and praise due His NAME is something we can rejoice in: for it is the Holy Spirit operating in us!

Did I say that? What I said was what the scriptures say in clear terms. That there are and will be lying signs and wonders, I made no reference to anyone but was just putting some words of caution to the subject. Many will claim they are representing God with false signs and wonders, all believers should test these things according to the truth of the gospel. Why else would Paul say such a thing if not that the devil would come as being from heaven?

You say when the devil touches something it dies? say its "real easy" I think I will not go with my pride and trust Gods Word, and let others follow after signs.

2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

Mr 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

No, Beloved, you were speaking by another spirit. We need to be careful that the words we use will Praise Him; and we praise Him by edifying the Church and giving the hearers hope: by doing "...the work of the minstry...". I have been testifying of the work of the Lord Jesus, that I personally witnessed. It is not something I heard someone else say: but I witnessed the works, and
teatify that God is a Mighty God. I have opened my mouth and dared show forth "...the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness and into His marvelous light."

Walk Holy in the Lord, Beloved.
