The Critical Race Theory and Christianity Can Not Co-exist

I do not like to read long posts and I apologize for this one. However, this is a subject that I am very concerned about and I hope that you will take the time to consider this post.

I am sure that everyone has been reading and seeing the CRT over the last few years and most of do not know what it is and even more just do not care.
However.....the CRT and Christianity can not co-exist. They are as diametrically opposed as is Evolution and Creation.

Critical Race Theory (CRT) is actually Marxism dressed up and called a more acceptable name. Originally, Karl Marx, the father of Communism built his political program on the theory of class conflict. Marx believed that the primary characteristic of industrial societies was the imbalance of power between capitalists and workers. The solution to that imbalance, according to Marx, was revolution: the workers would eventually gain consciousness of their plight, seize the means of production, overthrow the capitalist class, and usher in a new socialist society.

The CRT has simply replaced capitalist's and workers with black and white individuals.

Just to give you a view of realville historical facts, during the 20th century, a number of regimes underwent Marxist-style revolutions, and each ended in disaster. Socialist governments in the Soviet Union, China, Cambodia, Cuba, Venezuela and elsewhere racked up a body count of nearly 100 million of their own people. They are remembered for their gulags, show trials, executions, and mass starvations. In practice, Marx’s ideas unleashed man’s darkest brutalities which is why the CRT and Christianity can not exist together.

Critical race theorists have constructed their argument like a mousetrap. Disagreement with their program becomes irrefutable evidence of a dissenter’s “white fragility,” “unconscious bias,” or “internalized white supremacy.” Or better said.....If you do not agree with us then YOU are a racist!

The CRT describe society as a struggle between social classes competing for finite resources hence the "Climate Change" debate that rages. The theory then is that the dominant class uses politics, law, and culture to impose norms on society that maintain the status quo and perpetuate societal inequities.

However, the Christian faith is built on a different foundation. The Bible states Jesus is the "Chief Cornerstone" of the church, the collection of genuine believers in the past, present, and future who are described as a holy temple for the Lord.

A Christian worldview uses scripture as the basis for absolute moral truth as well as the standard by which good, evil, equity, and justice are defined. Critical race theory sees oppression based on skin color as society’s main problem and the transformation of structures and systems as solutions. The scriptures, by contrast, see sin as humanity’s main problem and faith in Jesus Christ as the only solution. The tension between these two competing worldviews is a central theme of the book.

If I am correct in my thinking, and you are welcome to disagree, but it seems to me that what is taking place is the birth of a "NEW Religion" of ANTIRACISM just called CRT.

You see, as it is taught by the CRT, racism is wrong, it is a sin and I agree. However, whether expressed through ethnic hatred or partiality, it is a problem of the human heart. Its solution is the gospel of Jesus Christ, not the work of antiracism which is why I say that this CRT and Christianity can not co-exist.

What do you say??????????????

Very well stated!

There are all sorts of barnacles hanging on that acronym... that have latched on in the current climate …..I believe in simple terms and the least common denominator, CRT is meant to cause division and the government has been the biggest offender….going back many years.

I was back on my home turf (Chicago) this last weekend and the discussion came up a few times. Interestingly enough their wasn’t a single black brother that agreed with the ridiculous theory.... many of whom are Christian, some former gang…and from what I am told, the overwhelming consensus from the street is ….they don’t buy into it, but many (from the street) would use it…. if it gave them an advantage.

Where I found the most contention was among some of my fellow caucasians …they were, boisterous and accusatory. Pointing fingers….and yes, accusing me of being racist..... which really solidified what I have thought all along…. And from that I have developed my own acronym RRT which stands for Reflective Race Theory. Those who are accusing…. are the ones who are guilty of being racist. And not only guilty, but they are promoting racism and division by accusation of the white race.

For me, I have never thought twice about it… I look on the heart. Some people I like…. Some, not so much….I do however separate people into two different groups, the same as God….believer and unbeliever ….I don’t dislike the unbeliever …I used to be one myself and I have several acquaintances that are ….and for me…. they are potential believers.

Frankly, I think the modern efforts of "anti-racism" have taken us backward. They are typically problem focused and not solution focused. Outrage is an intoxicating emotion, but it doesn't solve issues. It is difficult for us to sit down and figure out some workable solutions together if we view each other as enemies.

Aren't they sort of a straw man scenario? Build a false dichotomy and then tear down the side you don't like.
When I was in school, skin color just wasn't an issue. Since then, I lived around worked around all colors and don't understand all the hoopla about race. I guess I am hopelessly a 'white privileged' something or other. lol

I dislike playing the advocate for the other point of view, however here I am.
For those whom do not offer a deeply introspective personal response for themselves, might I suggest that you do so.
Racism has all different kinds of masks, and flavors all equally as offensive. It starts at home, and what has been taught to us as children.
Here in the south I have experienced behaviors I didnt even know still existed.

My late fiance took me to the only place in his hometown that served breakfast. It was racially segregated until 2008-9 or so.
Never mind the fact that Im a New Yorker living here; welcome to "Yankee" discrimination still alive and thriving well from the civil war.
Lets lastly get into race, and the fact that one set of grandparents were western Asian.

White privilege does exist. Ask any Caucasian whom has dated outside their own race. Better yet, ask mixed race children to give you their point of views. I also agree we have gone backwards in America. Race issues are dividing us as a nation faster than democrat and republican opposition.
Perhaps the deeper problem than ‘racism’ is the denial of God’s Word From all sides of the aisle.

They’d rather call that a ‘white man’s religion’.

Denying that all mankind came from one race through Adam, one blood, and instead imbibing the false teaching that mankind developed and evolved from different regions of the world.

Denying the fact that sin..our sin.. is the culprit instead of looking for scapegoats.

Denying the Judgment to come and instead set up their own utopia, crafted after their own ideology.

We need to learn to quit playing the blame game and own up to our own standing before God.

Yes we are depraved and need to be fixed, forgiven and to forgive.

There it is!!!!!!!!

As said in the OP, it is a heart issue which can only be fixed through the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I do not accept the idea of "white privilege" when it comes to dating people of color. That is a "choice" and all choices have consequences.

FACT as prnted in the news organization..."Politico" =

"In a recently surfaced 2015 interview, one of the three Black Lives Matter co-founders declared that she and another co-founder "are trained Marxists."

I acknowledge that racism exists and past racism has shaped the present. However, vilifying one group because of a history in which they did not participate, or because they were born a certain color gets us nowhere. In my own family history, there was a split in the lines generations ago. One line had a number of slave holders, and the other line had a number of abolitionists, some of which are well known in the history of the Underground Railroad and in agitating for abolition. I come from the abolitionist line, for whatever that's worth. I never owned slaves, nor did the work to free them.

What I want is for people to be able to sit down together and figure out where we go from here, right now, where we are. Can't do anything about historical slavery or discrimination.

But, as has been pointed out, what is needed is a fundamental change in our hearts, the kind that can come only through regeneration in Christ Jesus. We need the transformation and renewal of our minds, otherwise we are stuck with our human self interests, which causes us to favor our own comfort and well being and view others as a threat who appear to be competing for the same resources - you know, our fallen basic nature.

I think there are many ways we can remedy the effects of racism without emphasizing race. If we focus on poverty, for instance, if there is a disproportionate number of people of a given ethnicity who are impoverished, addressing the poverty will benefit that group the most. If we focus on education, and if a certain ethnic group tends to have the worst schools, that group will benefit the most. And the list goes on. We can teach our school children the fundamentals of respect for one another without hinging it on race. We can acknowledge race and culture, but we don't have to hang everything off of them.

Not exactly sure what it is you are trying to say. How does the concept of "white privilege" relate to dating or marrying people of color. There does seem to be differences on this issue in different geographical areas of the country.

Regeneration would also be helpful, as would an awareness that all mankind is a slave to sin and the fear of death, until freed through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.

John 8:34-36 (NASB) Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. "The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.

It doesn't!!!!

That is a choice that those involved do. It has nothing to do with white or black or red privilege's. That was what I was trying to say. I guess I didnt say to good did I?

Personally I do not think that there is anything that needs to be done. What happened 150 years is history. It was done but it is over. We do not need to change history but we do need to learn from it and move on to the future, making sure that the sins of the past are not visited upon our grandchildren.

Our forefathers 200 years ago did something that we know to be wrong. It was heinous and when we think about it, I can hardly believe that it was an acceptable way of living back then. But it was. That does not make George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and Thomas out to be the enemies of society.

The way we read what is ging on today we have to feel like it is the USA that invented slavery when the truth is that slavery goes all the way back to the book of Genesis and it had nothing to do with racism at all. The conquered people of war were forced into slavery to there conquerors.

And that shows which country and faith is mainly being targeted, as Africa had it's slaves and Islam had it's own as well long before America became to be.

I have to be honest with you, I had not heard of this Critical Race Theory thing, until it was brought up three school board meeting ago. Despite the school board making it clear that CRT is not a subject taught, every school board meeting that has followed again brings it up.

Mine is an interesting position. I am Cuban. I identify as "white," because that it the only option these forms have that meets my skin tone. Yes, the second questions allows me to identify as "Hispanic," but that is another issue. My mom's side of the family originates from Spain. My dad's side of the family is native to Cuba, but I am not sure what that actually means. I know that during the occupation of Cuba and the sugar production period, most of the indigenous male population died and the Spanish started to import males from surrounding Caribbean islands. This is why we (Cuban) have white, black, and mulatto as our three options. I was too young, when I left Cuba, to have a memory of my grandparents; however, I have seen pictures and it is evident that my paternal grandmother was not Caucasian. My mom was a racist to the extreme. My dad was not.

Now, as someone has already noted here, this whole CRT thing is easy for believers. We are made up of two types of people: believers and non-believers (which I sometimes call "believers in waiting"). As Christians; however, we really cannot escape the issue of racism. Several months ago, I made the decision to recommend that one of my subordinates not be re-appointed. This was solely based on the fact that she is just not a good investigator and nothing to do with the fact that she is female and black. Despite what I believe is overwhelming evidence of her incompetency, she still filed a complaint against me for discrimination against her on gender, ethnicity and color considerations (still pending the results of that investigation). The one thing that I did not know is the existence of racism based on shades. Apparently, she is of the opinion that I discriminated against her because she is a darker tone of black than by other black investigators (did not know that was a thing).

If CRT is what I think it is, we really cannot deny that racism existed and still does. Yes, it would be nice to move on from this, as it does not help, but many people can't (or will not). Our country's past has some really ugly chapters. I agree that the details of these chapters are purposely left out, but I wish there was a way to accept this and move on.

Still, I think, I need a clearer understanding of the topic.

The only reason.....only reason it is not taught in Florida is because of Gov. DeSantis!!! He signed into law prohibiting it.

I agree....racism does exist!

But passing a law will not fix it any more than saying Thomas Jefferson had slaves made him a racist.

Again......this has nothing to do with slavery or racism. It is a movement based in MARXISM and simply dressed up in a new name called CRT.

Ray.....it is exactly what Castro did in Cuba. It is what Cuba has cone in Venezuela. It is Marxism and Marxism leads to Socialism and Socialism always leads to COMMUNISM!
