If people could only believe they are 'okay' regardless of everything else. . . what a paradise that would be.
I spent a year in GTMO, does that count?
Rtm
Please don't insult Rtm.It would if you were the President and the more I think about it......you would probably be better that the one we have.

Bigotry and prejudice respect no particular race/color grouping. There are prejudiced/bigoted blacks, whites, and Asians. Critical Race Theory is simply a liberally-acceptable form of anti-white black bigotry and prejudice. Christans should be above bigotry and prejudice because they are things belonging to this world system which belongs to the Prince of Evil, Satan.I dislike playing the advocate for the other point of view, however here I am.
For those whom do not offer a deeply introspective personal response for themselves, might I suggest that you do so.
Racism has all different kinds of masks, and flavors all equally as offensive. It starts at home, and what has been taught to us as children.
Here in the south I have experienced behaviors I didnt even know still existed.
My late fiance took me to the only place in his hometown that served breakfast. It was racially segregated until 2008-9 or so.
Never mind the fact that Im a New Yorker living here; welcome to "Yankee" discrimination still alive and thriving well from the civil war.
Lets lastly get into race, and the fact that one set of grandparents were western Asian.
White privilege does exist. Ask any Caucasian whom has dated outside their own race. Better yet, ask mixed race children to give you their point of views. I also agree we have gone backwards in America. Race issues are dividing us as a nation faster than democrat and republican opposition.
Gosh, that reminds me of a book that made the christian circuit around the mid seventies, when I was a baby Christian called "I'm OK, You're OK". (sigh)Actually, that is one of the biggest reason people do not come to Christ.
They actually believe that they are O.K. when in fact they are lost and doomed.

Then it is up to us to help them see the truth of that. That they really are not okay because they keep wanting to feel okay.Actually, that is one of the biggest reason people do not come to Christ.

Could you please rephrase that? It just doesn't line up with my understanding of Scripture or even my personal experience. Maybe I am misunderstanding something. Then it is up to us to help them see the truth of that. That they really are not okay because they keep wanting to feel okay.
When it comes to race, inherent in all people is to feel secure, like a baby to their parent, to look similar. Later, when no longer a baby, when confronted with something non-similar, instinct will always say (even ever so subtly), 'don't trust this source'. It is inherent. The only way to get around it, until desensitized to that fear, is to acknowledge one's own instinctual message and face the fear anyway. In other words, everybody is racist _ no exceptions. The point is, those who deal with it are quicker to trust the source. The change from not-trust to trust may only last a tiny fraction of a second, because the human primitive brain stem contains that imprint, and cannot be removed.

No need to be sorry, could you explain it in Scriptural, rather than psychological terms?Sorry you don't understand it.

This isn’t accurate at all. Racism is taught, not biologically intrinsic. Babies and children who are adopted by parents not of their race or who are mixed race, like my children, still trust and love their parents even if they look dissimilar. Then it is up to us to help them see the truth of that. That they really are not okay because they keep wanting to feel okay.

Is not the living spirit of God in each and every person 'okay'.
Is not the human mind, a by-product of brain (flesh) activity, the only thing that believes it is not okay. After all, it knows it will die one day.
It fears anything that may bring that reality sooner than later. Any threat to its need to feel okay must be dealt with. For a Christian, faith is the answer. Faith allows a 'knowing' (not knowledge) of what is True, and the Truth is that the spirit of God (Being) is okay on its own. But our mind does not 'think' so because it's based on reasoning, logic, in other words knowledge _ a worldly trait.
Though race theory (knowledge) and True Christianity (knowing) cannot co-exist as a one, but they do as a unit (human-being). While we are still here, we experience both, just like Jesus Christ did. Only through denial of sorts can a body deny the spirit and the spirit deny the body. In either case, each knows the Truth, one cannot be used in a truthful way without the other.
We are not here for the self (body) but for the One who sent us (spirit), to use the body to express God's existence in this world we walk through.
I am sorry that my posts are not clear for you. To me, they are crystal clear. In reality, what you are saying all comes down to what one believes the definition of "OK" is.
IF it means that I feel healthy then OK is good.
If it means that I have money in the bank then I am OK.
If it means my wife has not left me for another man then I am OK.
But if...IF it means that I am in right and good standing with God, but still live in or commit KNOWN sin then OK does not apply.
Then the other fact is that...YES, the Holy Spirit that indwells the man is indeed OK as He is perfect. However.......that does not mean that the man is then OK.
That man then still makes the choice to commit sin after sin and if he STAYS in a known sin then the question must be asked......Is that man saved at all?
Speaking to the religious crowd of His day, God said in Matthew 7:22-23 ,,,,,,,,,,,
"Many will say to me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
You see, those religious people then thought that they were "OK" as well.
Hi Major,I do not like to read long posts and I apologize for this one. However, this is a subject that I am very concerned about and I hope that you will take the time to consider this post.
I am sure that everyone has been reading and seeing the CRT over the last few years and most of do not know what it is and even more just do not care.
However.....the CRT and Christianity can not co-exist. They are as diametrically opposed as is Evolution and Creation.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is actually Marxism dressed up and called a more acceptable name. Originally, Karl Marx, the father of Communism built his political program on the theory of class conflict. Marx believed that the primary characteristic of industrial societies was the imbalance of power between capitalists and workers. The solution to that imbalance, according to Marx, was revolution: the workers would eventually gain consciousness of their plight, seize the means of production, overthrow the capitalist class, and usher in a new socialist society.
The CRT has simply replaced capitalist's and workers with black and white individuals.
Just to give you a view of realville historical facts, during the 20th century, a number of regimes underwent Marxist-style revolutions, and each ended in disaster. Socialist governments in the Soviet Union, China, Cambodia, Cuba, Venezuela and elsewhere racked up a body count of nearly 100 million of their own people. They are remembered for their gulags, show trials, executions, and mass starvations. In practice, Marx’s ideas unleashed man’s darkest brutalities which is why the CRT and Christianity can not exist together.
Critical race theorists have constructed their argument like a mousetrap. Disagreement with their program becomes irrefutable evidence of a dissenter’s “white fragility,” “unconscious bias,” or “internalized white supremacy.” Or better said.....If you do not agree with us then YOU are a racist!
The CRT describe society as a struggle between social classes competing for finite resources hence the "Climate Change" debate that rages. The theory then is that the dominant class uses politics, law, and culture to impose norms on society that maintain the status quo and perpetuate societal inequities.
However, the Christian faith is built on a different foundation. The Bible states Jesus is the "Chief Cornerstone" of the church, the collection of genuine believers in the past, present, and future who are described as a holy temple for the Lord.
A Christian worldview uses scripture as the basis for absolute moral truth as well as the standard by which good, evil, equity, and justice are defined. Critical race theory sees oppression based on skin color as society’s main problem and the transformation of structures and systems as solutions. The scriptures, by contrast, see sin as humanity’s main problem and faith in Jesus Christ as the only solution. The tension between these two competing worldviews is a central theme of the book.
If I am correct in my thinking, and you are welcome to disagree, but it seems to me that what is taking place is the birth of a "NEW Religion" of ANTIRACISM just called CRT.
You see, as it is taught by the CRT, racism is wrong, it is a sin and I agree. However, whether expressed through ethnic hatred or partiality, it is a problem of the human heart. Its solution is the gospel of Jesus Christ, not the work of antiracism which is why I say that this CRT and Christianity can not co-exist.
What do you say??????????????

That's right but...1 Corinthians 14:8 (KJV) For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? (or who can be edified?)Just because I am not understood does not mean I am wrong.
