Flat-earthers Never Seem to Learn

Flat earthers fit into the same mold as the believers in ancient aliens.
And IMHO Conspiracy nuts.
It is the age old problem where we "Like what we know, even if what we know is wrong".
There is a real phycological name for this phenomenon and we see it all the time in Bible abd Christian theology.
It is called "cognitive dissonance". Take the time to look it up and you will see what I am saying.
It is when our confidence or knowledge or thinking on a topic/subject has been called into question, and we feel a strong urge to get rid of the uncomfortable feeling. There’s two ways to vanquish cognitive dissonance.......
1. replace our current idea with the new one being proposed, or
2. blankly reject it.
It’s obvious which one is easier—no cognitive effort is needed for rejection, but replacing the idea with something new requires us to search our memories for related information, or do more work or study and consider the logicality of it. So what does most people do????????

I just thought of something. Because of the earth pictures taken from the moon showing a spherical earth, flat earthers must also be moon landing deniers.
Well, when you think about it, sitting along the edge of a pond of dirty water (symbolic of human knowledge), fishing pole in hand, and no bait on the hook, toes wiggling in the water and tickled by tadpoles, who would want to expend the effort to rethink a position about anything....!

The moon landings were brought into question long before the flat earth phenomenon exploded on the scene around 2015. They just add every controversy to their agenda
i was hit up by a flat-earther in 1974 on a greyhound coming back from Washington, but I'll admit, I never heard of the concept before, due to all the brainwashing I received in public school. lol

I remember being under the flat of the earth, but it would still take me 14 1/2 hours to get from Philippines or 10 1/2 from London to San Francisco.

Some people have claimed that the moon landing is fake, and I don't think anybody can prove them wrong. Armstrong and his pictures can all be faked. The US was at the height of cold war against the Soviet Union, who at that time made quite a few notable advances in the science field. The US government needed something to boost the morale of Americans.

Nobody can prove .anything different either.
I just want to say that I am not saying the moon landing was definitely faked. I have no proof of that. However, you guys have no proof that it happened, either. You are just basing it off of some pictures that the government showed you. At least I try to be skeptical. You on the other hand gobble up whatever the government tells you.
Yes the flat earth does reach back all the way into ancient times with some cultures, but most believed in a orb. Probably due to the eclipses of the moon with the shadow or reflection of the earth being rather circular when observed. . You right much brain washing does go on in our education system. Anything that reeks to much of God is often ignored, put aside or ridiculed out of existence. I didn’t even know there was such a thing called Geocentricity until I was 24. And that the Church had faithfully followed such a belief all the way up until the 19th and early 20th century. Heliocentricity being rather a new model that replaced Geocentricity. The heliocentric model does not place us in a very special place amongst Gods universe. Instead we now find ourselves as a mere speck of rock somewhere out in the far reaches of a never ending universe. I guess it’s how many like to perceive, a world and universe without any hint of God as the Creator.

No need for aliens to zoom anyone to Mars to shoot those fake moon landings. There be plenty of places to fake them upon planet earth including film studios and even possibly Area 51 if you likeI know! They never went to the moon.
