For egocentrism to be feasable the earth would have to be absolutely still with no gravity or spinning so fast that a feather would weigh hundreds of tons.

Well I can empathise with the flatties because I do actually walk on a flat earth. I never seem to notice it being round and going upside down when I walk round it. Maybe that’s what they are on about.
Still, it’s not worth arguing about because of a belief. It’s when they start to make models and create systems out of it to base their beliefs on, that’s where they are gonna lead us into trouble. Then they may start to fill in the gaps with their own hypothesis and lead people down a never ending rabbit hole of confusion. And God help us if they ever get to that point.
They could even stop the younger generations in the future from actually progressing in anything because they will be stuck in a theory they believe without proof.
Here is Carl Sagan giving us an easy way of understanding. I hope this will help you flat earth folk before you get stuck down a rabbit hole

Plus, I've pages and pages filled on other forums debating the matter.
I always thought that's how we got a day /night (one complete revolution of the earth on it's axis. (travelling at 1000 mph=24,000miles in 24 hours.

what a mess that ended up being!I don’t know why, but I don’t believe the ancient civilisations thought the the world was flat. At least not the educated people.
All the images of their maps they created don’t really say the earth is a flat disc hovering in mid air but I kinda think they were, and at best, a description of how they just saw a small portion of what they saw. A bit like when you don’t know what you just don’t know yet, if that makes sense. So they made up some myths describing it until they came across some truth.

That fellow Engineer of which I spoke who thinks the earth is flat, I challenged him to think outside the flat box. The flat earth model also assumes that the expanse of the sky is a mural, with little holes in it and light shining through the holes.
I challenged him to consider what manner of theft that is against God. If all the Lord did was poke some holes through a mural of blackness to simulate stars and galaxies, consider what manner of theft that is to, otherwise, what is actually an expression of His Power and His Grandeur. Why anyone would want to steal from the Lord the absolute magnitude of the universe, in all its vastness, that only makes Him out to some cheap trickster, no better than the magician who does slight-of-hand, cheap tricks to fool the crowds.
No. That expanse of universe we see out there...it's real, and it's an expression of just how much more powerful God is than some cheap, parlor trickster with nothing more than a few practiced tricks up his sleeve.

Judaism was panthestic at first, so I can't really judge early primitive people .
Some thought Christians were polytheistic because of the Trinity.
