Alphabet Soup Garden Varieties

ban anxiety discord impatience
they belong exiled into the past,
experience the joyful happiness
with peaceful heavenly love that will last,

have faith enough to believe what you pray
no matter how long there is a delay~

its a long winding staircase I am unable to see where it leads
nor are any landings visible but God gives me the strength
patience and perseverance to know that each step I take
is one more going forward as I slowly reach into His stars
to bask in their glow~

ox' one step one day one moment at a time...
Hello thenami;

Happy New Year. What you shared today speaks to me. My new direction in my life, marriage and ministry began on January 1. I'm already seeing what God is doing, it's exciting but have a long way to go in 2022.

One step, one day, one moment at a time...Amen to that!

God bless you and your family, sister.

Ive been in a lot of pain, and depression from it.
The weather and covid are not helping.
So yes one step, one day, one moment at a time
is the way I live my life :)

We all have a long way to go...
ox' to all

I wish my words could flow freely like air but they become restrained in my heart, bound tightly by my own resolutions which will not allow them to fall apart, they desire firm placement on my tongue reality keeps them quiet inside, as they dream a little dream of freedom only a perfect cut key can provide~

Hello thenami;

I've been struggling with guarding my tongue these last couple of weeks. I confessed this in my prayer time this morning and then guess what?

I came across your poem and it spoke to me.

Thank you for sharing, sister.

God bless you, and your family.

I was inspired by the spirit to write, and this is what came out. I find happiness in knowing this spoke to you.
Sometimes I struggle to bite my tongue, and keep my peace with my daughter. She is an adult after all.
Might we all exercise restraint and remember we cant fix everyone/everything, even though we want to.
Most of the time we just need to pray harder. :)

This community is tolerant of strays, and there are quite a few that get fed regularly behind the bank/grocery store area.
We have a stray/feral? we named Benny that has been coming around for a few years now. I think someone may have left him behind.
Maybe a military family that couldnt find him a home? He was pretty fat when he first started coming around.
We keep doctoring him up, as he has had quite a few bouts. A hawk chased him into our garage making a racket, before flying out.
He's been torn up pretty badly several times, maybe by a fox or dog? Eye infections, ear infections, cuts and scrapes, he comes meowing.
And we keep giving him love, antibiotics from the other pets, clean his wounds, get him fat again, and let him be happy where he wishes.

Benny wont stay in the house for very long, but did bring home a female friend we named Jet. She is anti social and runs when she sees us.
Jet and Benny had a litter of kittens I believe was around the time we first had cold/bad weather, and most did not survive.
They did bring back two we named Rock (the larger darker striped one), and Roll. They are a joy to see, even though they are afraid of humans.
They wouldnt hang around often, and would follow their mother. These days they sleep in our garage, and wake up wanting breakfast.
Benny comes to check on them often, and keep other strays/ferals away. Sometimes Rock and Roll will let us pet them, if we have food.
I have not seen Jet in quite a few weeks now. I simply like seeing these kittens are they are so cute :)

Our Father in heaven has blessed us with the beauty of his creations, in the name of his Son Jesus Christ.
We enjoy being caretakers of these little miracles he has given us.

Thanks for sharing this great story thenami
These stray cats can bring a lot of joy. I love seeing them grow strong and healthy. It is beautiful when they begin to realise they can trust you.
God Bless you for helping His creatures. He knows each one of them.

Amen~ and thank you Cosia :)

two kitties at dark in my garage they live
wishing we would give them more chow to eat,
afraid of humans my touch I cant give
letting us rarely pet them its a treat,

Rock is bigger with darker stripes of gray
(s)he lets us get closer to say hello,
Roll is the timid one that hides away
(s)hes certainly a cute little fellow,

on my porch they've eaten my cane back chair
playing with the strings I would imagine,
destroying them I really dont much care
for these two simply make my big heart grin!

maybe one day I will cuddle them tight
till then my garage is home for the night~

Father in the name of your Son Jesus Christ~

unwrap hearts from misdirection bondage
unchain unholy thoughts that bind me,
wash our eyes from horrors in this world
with tears that set our emotions free,

feed us uncomplicated words with love
which sew together this human fabric,
shield us with armor to withstands illness
keep our bodies healthier not sick,

put gun bombs of scripture in our minds
so we might be good soldiers for Christ,
blasting your news of salvation boldly
Father Son and Holy Spirit thrice,

make way for us on this path of living
to conquer and quench the evil fire,
knowing one day we shall hear heavens call
and rejoice being saved from satans mire

amen

no matter how dirty my hands do get
Jesus will wash me clean I can sure bet,
there are some things in life I do regret
but Christ on the cross paid all my debt,

thankful I remain and pray for brethren
no matter who what why or even when,
all sins are equal with females or men
forgiven names written in ink and pen,

do not take for granted His holy words
let them sing in your heart like nesting birds,
not diluted by man or made absurd
but felt with much love that has been stirred,

today might I see with my heart not eye
and dream of my final home in the sky,
when mortal flesh is done as it does die
to heaven I'll go as earth says goodbye~

(just a wee lil' rap...)

are we not like His flowers once from seed
before corruption from this world mans greed?
were we not watered well from His heaven
a day of rest given after seven?

stop and let us wash our petals white
basking in Son shine through His house of light,
repenting our sin yes once again
forgiveness given with much love, amen.

Howdy y'all- Hope everyone is having a happy Wednesday.
May our Father in heaven bless everyone reading.
Just wanted to touch base and let you know Im ok.
Benny hasnt been around here much.
Rock and Roll have been running away from me.
Guess they might never get used to people.
Oh well... they are still a joy to have around :)

Life is good, and happiness is around every corner.
We just have to choose to find joy in all things.
Peace, love, and hugs

Glad to read you are ok thenami
Not sure who Bemny is.

Going blind a corner can be an adventure. You never know who it what you will meet up with.
Blessings to you.

Benny is a large black feral cat that has been visiting us for a good long while now. He had kittens with a stray we named Jet. The two survivors we named Rock and Roll. They are very timid and shy creatures, basically finding safe food and shelter in our garage. Benny will let us pet him, and occasionally bring him in the house. The kittens allow my daughter, and son in law to pet them on occasion (they feed them late at night when they come in). They rarely allow me to do so. With how many coyotes, and foxes are getting pushed out of the woods due to development, I just happy they have shelter. I have not seen Jet or Benny recently.

I enjoy posting on this site because it has become a nice small internet Christian family of sorts for me. Prayer is always good, and sharing my thoughts in prose, or poetic form. It is a comfortable place to plant some words in my alphabet garden, and get fed with some fellowship soup. Hugs and happiness to all enjoying those blind corners life brings :)

Thank you for such a lovely post thenami
I lobe this forum too.
Bless you for helping these stray cats. I feed a black stray cat too. He turned up 5 years ago. He was like a bag of bones and terrified of me. You could see the fear in his eyes. I left food out for him and just spoke quietly. A friend suggested calling him Lucky, so I did. I put him a bed in the garden shed. He was too scared to come into the house.
Now he has a beautiful shiny coat of fur and looks very healthy. He still won't let touch him. He will lie on the ground next to me if I sit down and even lightly brush up against me. He had kittens with my nrighbours cat, she had been a stray too.

Lucky got badly beaten up by a massive cat, when he was trying to protect his girlfriend. That was last year. He disappeared about 3 months ago. I really missed him. Last week he was sat outside my summer house waiting for me.. He looked great.

I hope Benny and Rock and Roll soon turn up soon for you.

Always enjoy reading your posts.

Blessings to you thenami

I am the young child covered in dirt
there is a brush I must use more often

might I shake the day from my garments
as I wash myself clean with your words

Father might I bathe in verses written
to be read aloud and cover me well

in one small breath of your mighty will
I pray to listen diligently for I have not

this wicked word consumed me with iniquity
as I repent and loose the dust on my soul

have mercy upon me oh Father have mercy
for my flesh and thoughts are full of sin

there is only one good thng inside me Lord
it is you in the name of Jesus Christ
