An Original Cartoon A Day

Thank you for that clarification, bobinfaith.

In Awe of Him, I use large letters as a means of EMPASIZING something, as it is the same way in which I speak. Perhaps I need to use ellipsis to signify a pause and after the emphasized words in order to convey the importance of the emphasized word. Or not.

aLso, I Awe of Him, I really do dig the stick men in your narration, as images... ALWAYS... make the words more interesting.

I dunno.

Davey Do .... I could hear YOU saying this to me....

Cool!

Hello Davey Do;

I'm curious. Through the years have you been paid for your art work?

God bless you, Davey.

Bob

I need to go back and reply to these posts I missed.

Thank you for asking, Bob, and, yes, I have, from 1995-2003, I was a free-lance artist doing street cartooning, commissions, murals, mostly for community theatre, and cartoons in a local newspaper, etc.

Ah! The voice of the great John Cleese. Of course, from Monty Python fame, he is a brilliant comedian. Here is something I ran across years ago that you'nze might like, has a lot of creativity content.

Grrrrrr........Can't find one to play here, you will just have to go to you tube. Sorry.

Pen Pal!

After I met my future wife in 1984, we didn't have email or text. So we wrote letters and it was normal to receive a letter once a month, maybe every two weeks. I still have them tucked away.

So whenever she snaps at me I take out the letters and say, remember when you wrote me this? Sigh! That doesn't work anymore.
🫤!!!

I've tried to revive The Lost Art of Letter Writing for years, bobinfaith, and have met with only moderate success. Hopefully, with my current new Pen-Paul, there will be more of a regular exchange.

It is so cool that you and your future wife exchanged letters and that you kept them to use against her. (Insert chuckle here.)

It's called "Snail Mail" for a reason, for example, my niece, who lives about 15 miles away have exchanged letters, and it sometimes takes a week for us to get each other's letters.

Letter writing is so enjoyable for me, as I regularly include cartoons and illustrations. I've drawn and written in journals for over 50 years, so letter writing is merely an extension of that.

Thanks for your interest and support, Bob!

You could write your letters, scan them into a PDF, and email them. Your niece could proceed to print them out and repeat.

Efficiency! 😄

Well... that explains a lot... your pen pal lives 1000's of miles away.... First letter should arrive by Christmas. HAHAHA.

Do you draw lines on your paper?? I love how you join the T to the h....

I wish I could write but oh my goodness... I just seem unable to maintain the flow that is needed for cursive. I have developed a font with printing that works for me... and it flows just as easily as cursive is supposed to.

I just whipped that up on copy paper. I drew the lines with a ruler and triangle and filtered the contrast a bit on my phone to make it pop.

About ten years ago I read an article about how kids are no longer taught to write in cursive so I made it a point to practice once again. I enjoy it.

I remember cursive and used it for many years. But when I got into college or in my job I started writing block script.

I noticed Jason drew the lines. Don't you have lined paper tablets or was drawing the lines intentional?
