An Original Cartoon A Day

Thank you for sharing your art with us, In Awe of Him!

For the past several days, I made a decision to go Internet Free in order to see where my thoughts and subsequent artwork would take me. It was quite a cleansing experience, and I've got some work which will be shared, given world and time. But for now, please allow me to play catch up with my Daily Cartoons!

This one was inspired while listening to Leonard Cohen's "Bird on a Wire":

OH how I missed you Mr. Davey Do.

My cartoon character sometimes tells me a fib.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Edit *** HA... I almost spelled IDIOT. HAHAHA..... Anyways.... It is so absolutely DELIGHTFUL to see the FORUMS coming ALIVE with CREATIVITY.... We have poets.... writers.... pastors... servers... and NOW our VERY OWN ARTIST..... oh my goodness...... this is soooooo beautiful when the family of God decides to share their talents.

OH NO!

And please, Crossnote, don't call me LOL (Little Old Lady).

I'm from the FBI (Fortuitous Beleaguered Individual).
OK..

The origin of OK is disputed; however, most modern reference works hold that it originated around Boston as part of a fad in the late 1830s of abbreviating misspellings; that it is an initialism of "oll korrect" as a misspelling of "all correct". -Wiki

So you're not the only one who misspells. lol

Thank you for the kind words, In Awe of Him, they really give me a boost!

We do tease each other as children, don't we?

Actually, I usually have Daily Cartoons done in advance, like when I took several days of practicing being "Internet Free", I had most of the cartoons done. In keeping ahead, if I not inspired to do a cartoon a day, I have a backlog from which to draw.

That is BRILLIANT...... OH.... let me pull this cartoon out of my hat..... HAHAHAHA.

Keep them coming dear man.... WE sure do appreciate you here at the forums.

Good afternoon my dear artist friend...

Ok... now explain something to me.... You obviously are able to print unbelievably well to make this work look like a type writer.... This is your drawn text?? Am I correct??

Oh, thank you so much for your enquiry, In Awe of Him, for I truly enjoy discussing my art, and art in general!

That work was actually typed on a typewriter that I picked up at a resale shop a few years ago, a 1959 Remington Travel-Riter. It is bulky and clunky, I use it primarily for word balloons, short narratives, and I love it!

My landlord uses a typewriter. I am going to go upstairs and ask her the brand.... HAHAHA.... BRB.... ( gosh.... It's been a very long time since I used the BE right back reference).... as if you even know I left.... HAHAHAHA
I guess it was used back in the CHATROOM days where people talked in real time.

5 minutes later.......................... :D I present to you.... The Underwood Studio 45.

Tom Hanks, David McCollough, John Mayer, and many others star in this documentary of a typewriter shop, artists, writers and musicians who are still involved with the machines. It is an interesting, heart-warming, profound, entertaining, and funny film, and one does not need to be a typewriter fanatic to enjoy it!
