What a weird case.
Wikipedia doesn't really tell you much about the case itself. I need more details.
21 Year old Norma McCorvey found out she was pregnant with her third child, wanted an abortion, but couldn't have one in her state. Her life was not in danger, so she lied and said she was raped? Then it was taken up to the supreme court.
She ended up having the child, which was put up for adoption.
Questions - where was the father? WHY did she want an abortion?
What happened to her two other children?
What happened to her child that was put up for adoption?
Looking up her wikipedia entry reveals that she was a ward of the state, parents both alcoholics and died young. She identified as lesbian, and depressed and unemployable, and her partners were abusive. She got in trouble deliberately for attention. She converted and it seems took it a back again on her deathbed?? Claims she was paid by evangelicals to spread anti-abortion message.
She also wrote two memoirs 'I am Roe' and 'Won by Love'
