Can't really gift a tire to someone who doesn't have a car, although I have used them for gardening.
I remember my dad gave me a bicycle pump for a birthday present one year.

My grandsons 1st car cost me $700.00 for new tires. When he drove it over to show us, we almost had a heart attack because there was more rubber on my drive way than those tires.
He kept the thing just long enough to wear the stickers off and traded it in.

Go figure!
