It was a battle because my addiction (which was idolatry) was SO STRONG. But God delivered me. His love was apparent throughout it all...

You know perfectly well what I am talking about.
I am pretty sure that is the problem, but the methods used so far has not changed the situation and keeps everyone arguing with the problem rather than address the person who with love might be more willing to give it up.

Did not Jesus rebuke the Pharisees in phrases directed as a generalization toward the group?
That is my point. We need to do something different. How long has the back and forth been going on? And who has been in control of it? Time to take it a different way and put God in control.
he did not rebuke them all .. just the one with ego or were stumbling blocks ..
He even rebuked the Apostles at times ..
every group has good and bad in it ..
That is what I am saying. Those not doing it knew they weren't.
