The JW door knockers are pushovers wait till you meet two mormon missionaries! Hard as stone:LOL:

Last chat with a JW couple when at my door they notice i was browsing the internet. They said the internet is a evil place for Christians i should not be using it! ( actually going by figures they are not to far off in that statement the internet is a evil place, 70% Porn 30% information. But Christians should know better never to venture to the devils domain). I also think these two JW's looking well into their 60's have never used the internet in their lives cause i replied back to them: If the internet is evil where christians shouldn' be usin it then why is there a Jehovah Witness site online? They both looked shocked. They left making sure leaving with me one of their magazines. Oh they will be back no doubt about it this time with a 3rd JW to back them up.

The Mormons, those guys have an answer for everything!

I just have one more question about this. Why wasn't God straight forward about him becoming flesh and dying for our sins. Why didn't he say in the bible: I am into this world, called myself Jesus and died for your sins. Why does he go in a round about way stating things? Why are some things not stated clearly in the bible?

????????

Matthew 1:21, Matthew 26:28, Mark 2:17, Mark 14:24, Luke 19:10,Luke 22:20, Luke 24:47, John 3:14-17, John 12:32

Psalms 22:15-18, Matthew 20:18-19, Matthew 26:2,

Mark 8:31

There are a few other considerations as well-Jesus Christ is: The Messiah, High Priest of the Jews, The Promised One. He came to fulfill the law. He had to rebuke the teachings of the Jewish elite. His disciples didn't fully comprehend that He was the Holy Atoning Sacrifice until after the resurrection and received the Holy Spirit by faith. Not only that-the mentality among the Jews of the time was that ONLY the Jews were worthy of God and Heaven. So Christ had to break down many barriers and re-teach the fundamentals AND install the idea that God wants ALL to be saved-not just the Jews.

Could you change a religion in 3 years?

No...hahaha, sorry that was stated wrong. I mean that if Jesus is God. Why didn't the bible just state that ever so clearly to the point where there is no confusion?

Is it unclear that Jesus Christ is of God? I think there are several passages that clearly state that Christ is in/ of/ one with God. Yet he is the God AND human as the person of Jesus Christ.

Think of it this way: Do you think that God just absolutely had to humiliate Himself on the cross and die as human after being born and living a life in relative poverty? This is the humility of God manifest in the flesh. Think about it-God does not NEED us to love Him or follow Him. God did not HAVE too to die on the cross.

He chose too-so you could go to heaven-you dirty rotten sinner!

Do you know by human blood right according to Jewish law and custom-Jesus Christ has the ultimate RIGHT and AUTHORITY to sit as King on the throne of Jerusalem? He HAS the power to take it by force.

He chose NOT too. This is what the Jews were/ are expecting. A military victory over the enemies by war-it is the history they know and understand humanly.

(You know I still love ya sis! ;))

Piggybacking off another thread about one who recently left Mormonism, I too have dealt with issues regarding my conversion from a JW to a nondenominational Christian. One primarily being the belief that Jesus is God. I know that many Christians believe this and that many also have a different opinion.

I will get a lot of scriptures about how Jesus said "I and the father are one" and others which I am very familiar with. This still, however, does not explain why God said he "sent his only begotten son" to save us and why Jesus was questioning his father shortly before being crusified. Why would he have a discussion with himself? You can't deny that these scruiptures contradict themselves, as well as many concerning this issue.

One thing for sure is that Jesus is our savior, but I don't think that a single person can say for a fact that Jesus is God, or even that he is just the son of God. There is nothing in the bible that directly points to either...it's up for interpretation.

However, my question is: Do you believe that it is a sin to believe either or if you believe Jesus is your savior?
The Scriptures don't contradict themselves. If one studies the Word, you'll know that the Word if without fault.

Let's face it....the Trinity is a mystery and will always be a mystery. No one will fully understand it and I don't even fully understand it, but I know it's true and it exists. The Trinity are three different beings but yet all equal. How is that POSSIBLE? I have NO idea but I'm going to believe. There are many things that we don't understand about God, but questions like this are times when we need to just surrender our confusion and have faith.

I do believe it is a sin not to believe in the Trinity. Even though the word Trinity is not mentioned once in the Bible, the concept is there. And any doctrine that is apart from the Bible and is apart from God is a false doctrine. And therefore, is a sin.
