and if we C
Thank you for the question!!!!!!!

NO! We are not to seek and desire the sin that condemmns us. We through the power of the Holy SPirit after being saved should have the ability to walk away from the temptation that would cause us to sin.

"Shall we continue in sin"............CONTINUE means that we know we are doing something we should not be doing!
The verb tense in the Greek of the phrase continue in sin (the present active tense) makes it clear that Paul describes the practice of habitual sin.

In this first part of chapter 6, Paul writes about someone who remains in a lifestyle of sin, thinking that it is acceptable so that grace may abound.

A life of sin is unacceptable because our death to sin changes our relationship to sin.

and if we CHOOSE to continue in sin we remove ourselves

I am sorry.....but again that seems to me to be a redundant comment. We all accept that without question who are born again.
The "Gospel" is the foundation of the Christian faith.
the Gospel of Christ is the only thing that matters. Without Christ DBR, we have no promise, no Salvation, no Resurrection.

Isn't it about the nature of the One God? By that I mean two parts of hydrogen, combined with one part of oxygen, constitutes water.
That makes three parts, but we don't go around saying water is three, do we.

Likewise, we are heart, liver, kidneys, lungs, and a lot of other stuff, while being One person.

they, notice i said THEY, have the same Essence. what is the Essence THEY have?

Essence =
Each of the three persons is fully divine in nature, but each is not different than the other persons in essence. We find in Scripture that each has a will, loves, and says “I” and “You” when speaking. The Father is not the same person as the Son, who is not the same person as the Holy Spirit, and who is not the same person as the Father. Each is divine, yet there are not three gods but one God. There are three individual subsistences or persons. The word “subsistence” means something that has a real existence. The word “person” denotes individuality and self-awareness. Though there is only one God, He reveals Himself to us in three simultaneous and distinct persons.

What does THAT mean ?????

Are you trying to say that after accepting Christ by faith, we can choose to live in known sin there by LOOSING our salvation???
absolutely not. i said if we choose to continue to sin then even though God won't leave us we can still leave God.

Well..........Again, that is a very "ambiguous" response. YOU are actually saying in a very round about way that we can lose something that we never had.

At this point, and with all due respect to you and in Christian love, I am withdrawing from this thread. That is because you never directly respond to questions and comments but post comments that are making me to have to try and figure out what you are actually trying to say and I am way to old to do that.

God bless and maybe we can talk on another thread.

if we choose to walk away from God, God has to honor that. how difficult is it and what false doctrine turns God still rewards us heaven for us walking away from Him?

you JUDGED me off the bat. I never said anything towards you but honored your posts and responded. you assumed i am not a Follower of Christ and follower of our Triune God (Father-Son-Holy Spirit). i chose to turn the other cheek for you. God Bless You!

You can not serve two masters, either you accept Christ Jesus as LORD and Savior or you choose to remain in your sins. You can not do both. If one chooses to remain in their sins after professing Christ as savior then I question the sincerity of that profession. This is not to suggest that we will not stumble and sin, it is to say that to choose to continue in a life of sin is to reject the gift of salvation.

Amen!

this is why i posted what Paul said:
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may abound? 2 May it never be! How can we who died to sin still live in it?
