Returning From Romania / Ukraine

I will be praying for you Pastor Bob.
It must be so exciting.
God Bless.

Bob, is this certificate to keep your pastorship here in Calif? I ask because I'm wondering what California has to do with Romania? Praying.

Hey crossnote;

In 2022 California mandated a Child Abuse Awareness training and exam, AB506, requiring all volunteers, administrators, employees including clergy to be trained and certified.

What does this have to do with our mission trip, I'll know at our meeting this Thursday morning.

Thank you for praying, brother.

Good morning, brothers and sisters;

We had our meeting, first of 4+ before we travel to Romania on October 31st. The required certificate for the Child Abuse Awareness Training (AB506) was not brought up nor was it asked.

I may lead the devotion at our next meeting on August 8 and made a note to ask about the AB506 for overseas if it's not brought up.

Our mission trip will include 2 Sundays. We may visit up to 3 Churches per Sunday and have been asked to give sermons for each visit with an interpreter.

Thank
you all for your prayers as we prepare.

Bob. how did that meeting go?

Good morning, crossnote;

The meeting went good. The logistics are coming together but the AB506 certification and Live Scan still need to be completed by some who are going so I thought to ask later why these are required for overseas. I may ask at the next meeting when we get near October 31.

I need to turn in 4 sermons including the Communion message in September so the interpreters in Romania and Ukraine will be prepared.

We have a meeting in September and two more in October before we leave on October 31.

Aside from the preparation, prayers for each other and our trip are most important.

Thank you, crossnote, and others for your prayers.

Dear brothers and sisters;

Thank you for praying for my mission trip.

We had our September meeting in preparation for our mission trip to Romania. The President of the Baptist Association in Romania will be our host while there.

He has been present at all meetings and outlined what we will be doing while in Romania and traveling (across the border.)

On October 31, 2024 we will fly from San Francisco Airport on British Airways to London Heathrow Airport and then connect on British Airways to Bucharest, Romania.

While there will include two Sundays. I will be visiting up to 3 Churches each Sunday and had to turn in enough sermons and one prepared for Communion. A translator will be standing next to me during the worship services.

My home Church was gracious and gave an offering to pass on to each Church I visit.

The Romanian and Ukrainian people are warm, welcoming and have a sense of humor, however, my humor as an American may not be appropriate though I mean no offense, still...

We have our final meetings in October before we leave.

Your prayers are so appreciated and thank you.

God bless everyone.

Bob

Hi Bob,
This must be so exciting! The time will move quickly now before you go.

Have you got your services prepared or do you have to start them yet?

Are you taking Christmas presents, for the children, like you did last year?

Don't forget to take your camera!

Have you security with you, especially near the border?

Praying for much success.
God Bless Bob

Hey Cosia;

During our meeting yesterday we stressed the security of going across the border and taking all measures just like the last missions trip. Should there be a strong indication that we should not go will be under the advice of our host in Romania.

Thank you, Cosia, and for your prayers.

Dear brothers and sisters;

We had our meeting of 6 Pastors to discuss the prayers and logistics of our mission trip to Romania. We leave in exactly two weeks on October 31st.

My sermons have been received by the translators and I will be assigned to preach at 3 Churches on two Sundays, November 3rd and 10th.

We'll also visit and work with youth and kindergarten ministries, evangelize to gypsies who are a part of Romanian culture and join the Romanian Pastor's annual meeting and attend the Pastor wives luncheon event.

Our trip (across the border) will include a truck filled with clothes, blankets, socks, food, beds, toys, etc...

It will be day to day but the most important is one (or) more person(s) accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

I'm asking for your continued prayers and if anyone has questions I'll be happy to answer.

God bless you all.

Bob

what happens if the message changes ????

Hey Jerry;

I know what you mean. The translators speak English beside their native tongue so if the message and Scripture changes (God led) the translator and I can adjust and preach without notes. The translator only has to translate what I say to that respective congregation.

Otherwise, I'll stick with my planned messages, but you never know.

God bless you, Pastor.

I will be praying with everyone else Bob. This must be very exciting.
Bless you Bob.
