You are right. The pepper part isn't that hot, but the seeds in the center part can get a rise in temperature. A good jalapeno popper is a favorite of mine.
You just convinced me to buy some jalapeno pepper seeds.
Things are about to get REAL!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....
I'm wondering what does jalapeno pepper taste like?
Does it make you feel warmer in winter?
Good morning Matiro.... I hope you are enjoying the forums so far.
Jalapenos are hot due to the seeds inside them... but honestly... the ones I can buy here really don't seem that hot. They add a spicy heat to your food.. so that you can feel a bit of a sensation/sting on your tongue. I really don't know how to explain it.
The red Thai chillies that I occasionally buy are much more potent... and can have an impact on the skin ( burning feeling )... and if you have any cuts on your hands.... OUCH... so it is best to wear kitchen food prep gloves. I have also noticed that breathing in the fumes from these peppers causes me to cough. SO..... the effect of peppers is to bring HEAT and SPICE to a dish.
Good morning my most precious and beautiful forum family.
Well... this has been a GOOD week... a very good week. I have been writing and writing and writing...because.... I have my first pen-pal... Yes I do.... I bought a beautiful fountain pen... and I have been writing my heart out. I had forgotten how much I ENJOY the art of writing. God seems to be doing something to me CREATIVELY and it feels so wonderful to be releasing it. Over the years... I stopped writing by hand... the keyboard and the fact that I am a good typer replaced the need for letters sent in the mail... because I could easily and instantly contact someone.
It is such a treat to have reconnected with paper and pen. So there's that.
There is also the reality that I need to soon be thinking about SEEDS on my window sill. First I am going to do my pansies.... as they are such slow growers... I will plant the pepper and tomato seeds the first week of March. I think that is about a month earlier than I started last year. I think I did the END of March last year. I would have to look it up in the Garage. Pretty sure I'm right. Anyways... this year... I am going to do a larger variety of vegetables for the garden area. They cut down two huge pine trees in the neighbour's yard and I am hoping that will give the space more SUN light.
Last year... I only had tomato and pepper plants...and basically the pepper plants did not fare out well due to being crowded out by the tomatoes... so this year... the peppers will all get planted in their own pots. If you all remember from last year... I had that ONE plant that gave me 6 beautiful peppers.... AMAZING!!! So... there's that.
and NOW.... Mr. Moose wants a competition.... to see who is the funniest... HAHAHAHAHAHA.... WELL... that is the ONE thing I am most competitive about... therefore... I am posting this disclaimer..... The CABIN is about to become interesting. HAHAHA. Of course as I think about this CHALLENGE... I am suddenly at a loss of things I might say.
I will allow my NATURAL humour to OVERTAKE Mr. MOOSE... HAHAHAHAHAHA.

I DID ask questions... LOTS of them.... such as....
Where can I get one? I asked my mom that A LOT.... because I did NOT fall for the famous trick of trying to throw people OFF. If I don't believe that they exist... I am not going to order one....
