Context, please?
Therefore remember that formerly you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called "Uncircumcision" by the so-called "Circumcision," which is performed in the flesh by human hands-- remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity. AND HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE FAR AWAY, AND PEACE TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR; for through Him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. Ephesians 2:11-22

YES! YES! YES! AMEN!

Thank you, my dear friend. Yes. THIS is the power of the word of God. THIS is where new understanding enters the mind and the heart of believers.

Ephesians 2:11-13 KJV

11 Wherefore remember, that ye [being] in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

This is cause for weeping in joy for what Christ has done for ALL Gentiles AND us Israelites who love all of you who are of what is called the "uncircumcision"! You too are brought in through Christ. So, on this day, the 25th of December, which in this year is Shabbat, let your celebration focus upon what the Lord Jesus did for you who are in Him. THAT is the worthy observation for celebration, and thinking upon it daily throughout.

Thank you, CN, for sharing that which is Divine in origin.

Love you all.

If you're a Messianic Jew, ot shouldn't bother you at all.

Seriously? I am not a Jew. I'm an Israeli. The Jews are of the two tribes of the southern kingdom!

Sheesh!

The two sticks have not yet been combined back into one nation. That is yet to come.

Folks, please study your Bibles....

MM

And the Bible doesn't say a nothing about any "replacement theory "
Christians were first called Christians at Antioch.
You deny the NT. If you think that Christians took away the kingdom from the Jews. It was God who chose the New Covenant in Christ

Harriet, you're insatiable appetite for misrepresentations is astoundingly well honed! In relation to your own statements made earlier, I said that they, "smacked" of "replacement theology," which is a belief that Christians allegedly replaced the Israelis and Jews as God's focus for the future.

The OT is the foundation that undergirds the NT. We embrace ALL of it, not just the parts that seem pleasing to the point of offering warm fuzzies for the modernists.

Believe as you wish but the New Jerusalem and its covenant was established by Godin a AD 70. The new heaven and earth is already here. I am enjoying its blessings too, not waiting for some literal end of the world.

Ahhh, ok. Now perhaps we're seeing more of the picture, here.

Preterism. Is that what you embrace?

Don't Jehovah's Witnesses believe the same thing?

MM

The defense loses. You forgot to be objective and stick to the topic instead of labeling ppl.
Merry Christmas brother! Let’s agree to disagree today. Have a good one!

This isn't about labeling of people. I specifically asked about what you embrace, which is to ask, "What system of thought and belief do you embrace?"

JW-ism has its system of teaching, and Preterism his its system of teaching. Making this about people is a red herring, not an answer.

MM

Thank you, CN. Actually, I don't like the distinction between "testaments." I prefer they both remain together as a cohesive whole. the 400 years of silence between the two seems to be the main tool for division.

MM
Yes the two are a unified whole (as Chuck Missler liked to say). Better to say 1st and 2nd Testaments.

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers on the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD. “For this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the LORD: “I will put My law within them and write it on their heart; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
(Jer 31:31-33)

For in finding fault with the people, He says, “BEHOLD, DAYS ARE COMING, SAYS THE LORD, WHEN I WILL BRING ABOUT A NEW COVENANT WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND THE HOUSE OF JUDAH, NOT LIKE THE COVENANT WHICH I MADE WITH THEIR FATHERS ON THE DAY I TOOK THEM BY THE HAND TO BRING THEM OUT OF THE LAND OF EGYPT; FOR THEY DID NOT CONTINUE IN MY COVENANT, AND I DID NOT CARE ABOUT THEM, SAYS THE LORD. “FOR THIS IS THE COVENANT WHICH I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AFTER THOSE DAYS, DECLARES THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR MINDS, AND WRITE THEM ON THEIR HEARTS. AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
(Heb 8:8-10)

When I read stories in the Bible about the Israelites its like a microcosm of aspects of Chinese history but instead of Kings China had emperors that were meant to rule by the mandate of heaven, and they also had a set of teachings people were meant to live by for a harmonious society (by and large Confucianism) but so often people failed and really was disastrous for the nation.

And at various times China was occupied by others (Mongols, Manchus) and invaded (Japanese) but when they were trying to govern themselves everyone 'did what was right in their own eyes' so never really worked. And people were turning to idols (Buddhism, Atheism, and other folklore religion) and even had to leave the land for a better life as so many others have done. The Chinese diaspora is pretty much worldwide. And many Chinese encountered racism just like the Hebrews did because their culture was unique and customs were different. When I read Jewish narratives they often sound eerily similar to the way Chinese families operate. This I definitely do not get with other cultures eg Europeans or Americans.

Interesting article, and I do agree that there are interesting parallels between Jewish and Chinese cultures, the most obvious, being the emphasis on education. What is probably less obvious is the disparity, percentage-wise between Jewish Grandmaster chess players and Chinese; but then again there are probably very few Jewish 'GO' masters.

Bob, I found mine by tracing my grandparents on both sides. On my dad's side, my grandmother was full blooded Irish-Israeli, and her husband was full blooded German-Israeli, both Messianic since they loved the Bible and Torah. On my mom's side, THAT is when I discovered that there was Israeli blood among the Cherokees here in the America's, and I have their blood in me from my mother's side. When the Assyrians started taking captive the northern ten tribes in about 753 BC (somewhere there abouts), many of the more wealthy families boarded ships and sailed out and away from the invasion.

So, Bob, there are FAR more bloodline Israelis all around this planet than what most people realize. The U.S. is the largest melting pot of all ten of the tribes of the northern Israeli tribes than what most people realize. Many of YOU out there have Israeli blood coursing through your veins, but what matters MOST is being grafted into that One Vine, and being fruitful.

Isn't it interesting that this knowledge of the Israeli blood remaining hidden among all the nations for all these centuries....until NOW?

Makes me wonder what those 12 thunders had said that John wasn't allowed to write down... Hmmm.

Hello Musicmaster and Lanolin;

Your reply, MM, is a good start for me. I'm seriously praying to learn more whether I'm aligned with the peoples from the tribes and gentiles and how they found their way to my ancestors in the country I'm from?

I feel I'm capable of putting on my study cap and begin researching. I may come across some bumps along the way but have all the faith the Lord will guide and reveal all this to me.

Lanolin, your post reminded me of my Christmas gift for my wife. We attended a performance called Shen Yun on Thursday and I cannot describe the wonderful performance - their cultural dances balance with the orchestra. It's message was about love, truth, compassion, mercy and co-existing peacefully. China will not allow Shen Yun in it's country because the performance exposes communism today in contrast to freedom.

After the show their media team interviewed my wife and me and I shared with them about our Christian faith and how Jesus' taught on the Love Commandments - mercy, compassion, forgiveness and faith, similar to Shen Yun's performance message.

Getting back to this topic, in my personal study and research I'm also hoping to learn more about the expansion of tribes and gentiles of the Bible, but their cultures and similarities as well.

I've heard of that show but never seen it.
Wow you were interviewed? Where they wanting feedback from the audience.

I think communism has many different forms but the Leninism as they call it and adopted in China was most extreme. I don't know if Nationalists would have been any better but in Taiwan that form of govt seems to work. The poor people in Hong Kong are stuck because they had two systems (British/Chinese) but now China is the majority they kind of have no choice.

Freedom can be abused I think eg I don't know if the prohibition era was any better than these days where you can freely drink alcohol whenever you want and drive and kill people.

Wrong. Preterism is not something JWs embrace. They are futurists usually, like you.

I don't know what manual you read that from that said such, but all the Preterists I know believe that all the prophecies are fulfilled already.

I also wasn't implying that JW's and Preterists believe the same things in every respect.

MM

The "manual" I was reading was from your post #68. It's good to know you know some Preterists!
